Don't get your hopes up. Technically they'd still be undefeated (0-0), and wouldn't have any close wins to average teams. With Maryland and Rutgers the next 2 weeks, they'd have a good opportunity for some quality Big 10 wins.

correct they would be 0-0 not 0-8 if they have to vacate any

Would be an interesting scenario for committee. They would still get the opportunity to play PSU and Michigan to boost their resume. Would the committee be instructed to forget the first half of the season? Do you need 6 wins similar to bowl to make CFP? Would they then be ineligible for Big 10 championship game due to technically not playing a full slate of conference games?

They won't vacate anything. The NCAA will have to investigate which moves as fast a glacier. It won't happen over the next couple of months. They'd only have to vacate wins where they played him knowing that he'd committed a violation.

every game he played in after the loan would be forfeited.OSU's lack of knowledge would fall under lack of institutional control(the NCAA's catch all).


That said,expect OSU to fight and sweep away anything they can. They should try and protect their brand.



Would the Playoff Committee have the stones to keep out a team that they know will have to VACATE the Championship if they win it ?
