What are the odds of us playing in the
1. ACCCG
Hear me out. Let’s say FSU is in. Who are they going to play? Is Louisville up to task? Losing at 1-win Pitt currently. UNC? Currently losing to Miami at home. Duke? Currently up on NC St, but QB Leonard is out and remaining schedule is no
cake walk. We know we are out if simply tied with Duke, but in a 3 way tie with say, Clemson, Duke, and UNC? Each team would be 1-1 vs the other two. “So you’re telling me there’s a chance!”
2. Playoffs with an ACC championship title and 2 losses
Assuming we do get to the acccg, and win it, as a conference champion in a very competitive conference with a late win over a top 3 FSU get us in?
If this was the SEC it would be an absolute yes. I think this is the best the acc has been since 2016 (the acc was by far the top conference that year). We are second in titles to the sec in the modern era.
But somehow i see them putting:
SEC champ
Mich/OSU/PSU
Oklahoma/Texas
and either acc champ or PAC champ(conference that won’t exist anymore)
Conference titles will be a BIG deal for this last 4 team playoff this year. There’a a chance. I don’t think we would win it without some major changes but there’s certainly a chance we make it there.

making the acc title game and beating fsu we very well could get int he playoffs.. we would have beaten fsu who handed one of our losses so that would be a huge factor in the committee

We can handle both at home.
ND doesn’t factor in the acc. Got pounded by L’ville.
Maye is underperforming and will be deaf at game time.
Neither are world beaters. It depends how WE play.

Hard to see any offenses keeping up with UNC at this point

in the ACC even if we knock them off at home. Would take a Maye injury most likely for them to have 2 losses at this point. They will be 7-1 and is a max of 6-2 even if we take them down. Unfortunate they didn’t also play FSU or that we couldn’t just make a kick. All this is if we go 6-2. I think State and GT are wins unless we turn the ball over like we did against Duke. Miami will be tough but they’ve spent a lot of energy this game. UNC - our D will be the best by far they’ve seen but our O will still need to put some points up.

Really needed Miami to win this game. UNC’s remaining schedule is pretty weak. I see at most 1 loss.
Is there a path yes, but there is honesty just too much that has to happen for me to even get my hopes up at this point.
Not to mention we need to win out. And that is probably unlikely as well.

We will likely lose two more ACC games.

Miami at home will be tough. North Carolina will beat us. NC State, no matter how awful they are, always gives us fits.
Plus we will likely lose to ND and toss up to South Carolina. 8-4 will not get us in the playoffs not will 9-4.
