Dabo Swinney receives 1 vote in ACC Coach of the Year voting

Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Demon Deacons to 10 regular-season wins, the Atlantic Division title and a berth in this Saturday’s Subway ACC Football Championship Game.
Clawson, in his eighth season at Wake Forest, was the choice of 49 voters among a 64-member panel of 50 select media members and each of the league’s 14 head coaches. Pat Narduzzi, who led Pitt to the Coastal Division title and will square off against the Deacons in Saturday night’s championship game in Charlotte, placed second with 10 votes.
Wake Forest finished the regular season 10-2 overall and posted a 7-1 conference record after being picked for a fifth-place Atlantic Division finish in the league’s preseason media poll. The Demon Deacons, who did not receive a first-place vote from any of the preseason poll’s 147 voters, opened the season 8-0, earned a top-10 national ranking and secured bowl eligibility for the sixth consecutive season.
Wake Forest placed eight players on the 2021 All-ACC Teams and heads into the Subway ACC Football Championship Game third among all FBS teams in scoring at 42.9 points per game.
This marks the ninth time a Wake Forest head coach has been honored as the ACC Football Coach of the Year and the first since Jim Grobe led the Demon Deacons to the 2006 conference title. Clawson, who owns a cumulative 50-47 record at Wake Forest, is one of five head coaches in program history to have a winning record during his tenure at the school and the first since D.C. “Peahead” Walker (77-51-6 from 1937-50).
The breakdown of voting for 2021 ACC Football Coach of the Year:
Coach of the Year Dave Clawson, Wake Forest, 49 Pat Narduzzi, Pitt, 10 Dave Doeren, NC State, 2 Bronco Mendenhall, Virginia, 1 Scott Satterfield, Louisville, 1 Dabo Swinney, Clemson, 1

Who is voting for Satterfield?
I understand Dabo can't win this award unless Clemson goes undefeated but that he managed to cobble together 9 wins with the injuries was nothing short of a miracle. But we're talking about (generally) the same group of people who think there are 20 teams better than Clemson, including Wake Forest.

I completely understand the vote. Wake was 4-5 last year and was the lowest preseason ranked of the top ACC schools this year. I don't think that matters Saturday because Pitt will beat Wake.

I don't disagree with Clawson winning it, just making a case that Dabo could've earned more than one vote.
I'm happy for Wake Forest and hope they beat Pittsburgh. Clawson is likeable. Narduzzi isn't.

Dabo has earned “we can’t give it to him every year” status, which means he won’t earn it much anymore.

Wake lost 2 games to conference foes as well. It's just 1 of them wasn't an ACC game. I understand Clawson winning the award. Wake had an unexpectedly very good season and Clemson had a disappointing one.

He deserves a 1st place vote.

Not all of them, but at least one.
Why?
1) Even after watching the offense struggle this year, I STILL think most people don't understand how good Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne were. They weren't good. They were legendary. We might never have another running back as good as Etienne. And I still don't think any of our WRs this year played as well as our #2 WR Cornell Powell did last year. We lost a crippling amount of talent going into this season.
2) The team is YOUNG. For USCjr game, seven freshmen or sophomores started on offense. Twelve more on the depth chart. Four started on defense, with twelve more on the chart.
3) The team is hurt. Somebody posted a link to site that shows all reported injuries per team, sorted by conference. We had twice as many injuries as the second team and five times as many as the third.
4) We won nine games with an offense stuck in neutral, and only lost to teams that are STILL ranked, including #1.
5) Lol coots

How is it that our team has been YOUNG for like 6 straight years? Every year I see people explaining away deficiencies due to "our high number of underclassmen" and that "next year they'll be older".

Where do you get that Dabo has said 'we're young' for 6 straight years?
If you have referenced sources for this, then please share them.
But please don't give me the 'everyone knows it' BS.

Ok. Is David Hood the "select media" Clemson homer?
