Dabo is a nice guy

He’s given a bunch of guys chances that they would never have at other P5 schools. We have 3 coaches on staff (Mike Reed Nick Eason and Garrett Riley) who could coach at other schools. The other guys would be analysts or in support staff roles.
He’s surrounded himself with yes men who are always going to agree with him. I’m sure he believes in them and is close with them, but they are never going to disagree with him.
Somebody should have spoke up yesterday and said we need to press the gas and go on this last drive. We can’t leave this game winning opportunity to a kicker that Dabo wants to go in the post game press conference and say “told you so I made a great call how bout that guy”. Stellato, Brown and Briningstool were the hot hands, finding room running slants and coming open in the middle of the field. But we continuously put Collins and Randall on the field for what? When you feel like the box is stuffed and you can’t get yards with Mafah or Shipley, those guys should be the options.
So frustrating that we are the happy go lucky youth group team. It’s all about family. It’s all great, but sooner or later you have to understand the types of guys that got you where you are. Every one of our videos are about doing goofy funny stuff or some sort of off field internships. Watch Georgia, Bama, Ohio State, all they do is show their guys busting their butts in the weight room or running drills.
I know I’m all over the place. Just feel like we are the soft program now that is living in the past with the attitude of look what I’ve done for you, let me do what I want.

I stopped at the beginning of the 2nd paragraph. I don’t have time for nonsense.

At least you read the part about us having a bunch of analysts and off field role guys in position coach and coordinator positions

Our offensive coordinator, the leader of our offense for multiple years, was fired and is now an off field analyst. Doesn’t even get to coach players.
You think the guys that were under him could leave Clemson and be in similar roles?

Can't have a clue what's going on by watching YouTube videos and reading message boards.

Which coaches at Clemson would be in those same roles at other P5 schools?

I was having trouble sleeping after the game so I read the first 2 sentences and slept like a baby. Your writings are better than amebien.

I think the whole "Dabo goofball preacher" routine is kind

of overdone, don't you? I mean the very idea that he was somehow committed to providing some stock broker a chance to kick a winning FG is preposterous as to be paranoid even.
I'll never ever forget Dabo going after Tajh Boyd in the 2011 Auburn game as time was running out and we couldn't get a play off. The dude popped his cork for 2 timeouts straight yelling at the kid. Thankfully TB finally got the play off and we won, but I bet he still remembers that sequence.
And then there was the poor Punter against UNCheat in the ACCCG who had the biggest brain fart of all time while we were trying to make our first CFP. UNC must have run 3 to 4 plays while the cameras kept showing Dabo going over to the sideline to get a piece of the kid.
Quite frankly, I was embarrassed in both cases. But this is the guy you're selling has gone soft on winning?
So the very idea that he would short a score just to make someone look good is patently ridiculous.
Here's the proof: FSU scored in the last drive of the 1st half, and it took them all of 1 minute 38 seconds to go 75 yards for a TD.
And yet you're telling me, that he was willing to take a 3 point lead with still 1:45 left of the 4th Quarter? How exactly was he going to assure himself that FSU didn't have time to kick the tying FG, or score the winning TD? That would have looked kind of dumb on National noontime TV don't you think?
You negative Nancies have become so overwhelmed by selfish desire that you're no longer making logical arguments anymore - you're seemingly not even stable. This sort of fable-telling is embarrassing in and of itself.
