Why in the world would we join a conference where every single away game is essentially out of driving distance? The Championship game is 9 hours away from Clemson. I understand the financial aspect of it, but for use normal non private plane owning fans that like to go to away games it’s a slap in the face. I absolutely hate if true.

Yeah it’s gonna be awesome looking at 1,000 Clemson fans in the stadiums at away games. It’s terrible for our Football team. We’re a school that has the reputation of traveling well and that’s about to get crushed.

Fact is none of makes any sense UCLA, USC? They are worse off than we would be. This is no longer about making sense or what fans do or do not like. All about the money and the hell with tradition. Clemson has 2 opportunities as it sets now but not sure Clemson will get 2 choices.

In the Big 10. There are only 3 programs in that conference that could compete with us currently. It would make for an easier annual playoff path than the SEC.

Because we don't like playing ACC Championship games in the state of North Carolina.
We don't like the Tobacco Road schools.

Rumor is the ACC is looking into a future merger with some SCon teams that maybe ready for FBS football, if a few teams can find there way out.

Let's hitch our wagon to the possibility that some SOCON teams will become powerhouses overnight. Even if those SOCON teams make the playoffs every year it doesn't change the fact that we are being drastically underpaid in this conference until 2036.

If we wait around long enough and watch some of the other decent schools in our conference make their moves, pretty soon we will be back in the Southern Conference.

other ACC teams would be going and B1G due to size would be forced to go to pods/divisions. Scheduling would lead to probably 2 away games a year outside our region so yes Clemson fans would travel to those - just like they do to ND, BC and SU. That said - I don’t believe anything is happening now.
