What have you seen that convinces you of that? That’s a serious question and I I will be respectful of your answer.
I agree that all of the names you listed have the size and weight to be great NFL receivers, but I haven’t seen the play on the field to warrant that statement.

Did you watch last year? Who consistently caught passes that hit them in the hands? Who would you say you could count on to get open and make a play downfield. Part of it was on DJ but to state we have what we had 3-4 years ago is not accurate imo. For the record Shipley did not do DJ any favors as he dropped a fair share on his on. One being a possible momentum changer against Pitt, and he was wide open. Another issue, we had no true slot receiver, which hurt with this offensive scheme. On another note Ross was not the Ross of his frosh year which I totally understood but was hoping he would come back dominant.

Was your post intended as a reply to mine?
I agree that our WR room looks devoid of 1000+ yard recievers, much less four of them.

Anyone responding to this thread think that last year we had what we have used to been having at Clemson? Not remotely close imo. DJ wasn’t sharp but dang we dropped a lot of balls. I blame a lot of it on injuries. Seemed every game there was a good number of guys sitting or standing with no pads.

Of course not. There's been a huge drop off at the position

since Tee and Amari left. Injuries haven't helped, but part of being "WRU" is having depth and a pipeline of these guys coming through. Bama and Ohio State have been that recently, not Clemson.
And while I do believe we will see improvement at the position this year, I don't see this group being dominant like many of the other WR corps we fielded from 2011-2020.
I also think we've recruited too many 6-4 guys with average speed. Our WR corp was much more dynamic when we had more diversity.

While I agree with all that’s being posted the wr group has taken a drop but at the same time maybe the offense will just be a little different, when have we ever had a stable or group of RBs this talented ? And one of the biggest reasons is the scheme with dj doesn’t have defenses on their heals at all… it all works together

Alabama had Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, Davonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle on one team. Calvin Ridley, Amari Cooper, and Julio Jones. Jameson Williams and John Metchie will be getting drafted this year.
They have had the WRU title for a while if we’re being honest with ourselves.

Yeah, last year a Swinney was one of most reliable receivers. Hopefully this year we’ll have someone that can consistently throw a pass to an open receiver.
