Any word on the progress of Vizzina? For future years, just wondering if coaches, etc. are high on him. Or just thinking would he be #2 QB on depth chart next year. On link below, said played against Charleston Southern, but didn't recall seeing that.

If I recall he only played in the final few minutes of the Charleston Southern game.

Not a coach or claim to have insight, but I can assume that they do not want to burn his redshirt unless absolutely needed. Thus, why he has not played much. If he is needed, because of injuries, God forbid, then he will be able to stay within those 4 games allowed and still redshirt

Less we have any blowout games upcoming, he's likely on the shelf until next year.
I doubt he's going to unseat CK2 unless some tragedy occurs that throws him into action or CK2 just regresses like crazy. His best-case scenario is we get to play him a bunch next year and CK2 balls out and declares for the draft and he becomes the fav for QB1.
It'll be a heckuva QB battle spring of '25 between him and Hebert if he sticks it out.

Hopefully Hebert gets back on the field this year. Leg injury in game 1 and he's been out.

FSU game . looked great. but not lightning fast.
Wake. throw was a little wobbly.
i think he is working on arm strength
when that's good . he's very good

He literally played in the spring game and didn't look ready at all. Threw bad picks. Granted it was seeing him really early in his career here, but he clearly wasn't anywhere near at a level to compete with Cade Klubnik. Hence why he's redshirting. Needs some time in the developmental crockpot.

The real reason for the RS is because we didn’t sign a QB in this class so he effectively becomes that guy for 2024.

If Cade gets hurt, Hunter Helms is QB1. Then the transfer kid from Arizona. Then CVizz. He's literally 4th on the depth chart right now.

He is being redshirted. He played in the Spring Game if you want to go watch where he was at when he got to campus. Think he got a few snaps really late in Charleston Southern or FAU games, but i dont think he even attempted a pass.
Spring Game is the only real footage so far.

If he can't beat out any of the current QB's, i wouldn't put too much into being able to lead the program to a CFB championship. It was obvious after no more than 3 games DW4 and TL16 were better than any QB on the roster at that time. Using those 2 as the standard, it's hard to be excited about anything less.

Trevor Lawrence types are very very rare and he wasn’t great until late in the season after playing & competition with a good QB.
College football at this level takes a TE, QB & Offensive center a while to grow into it.
Payton Manning, Tom Brady & Dan Marino had to work to get better as rookies but became great!
The Coots QB was an interception machine his first few years too!

I don't think Cade will do enough to be drafted high by the end of next season, will probably be back for his senior year, does CV17 sit for two more years or transfer?
