Was told that during the 2 minute drill, on 3rd and 4, Cade Klubnik dropped a beautiful 40-yard completion over the shoulder of Beaux Collins. Offense is winning it's share of battles, and Klubnik has looked great.

I’m not worried about the secondary. If there is one coach who has proven his worth time and again it’s MR.

I feel similar about Reed. Can’t say the same for Conn.

That aside, they were bragged about all last offseason. And then come game time, they were a liability (see WF). So, while I believe in Reed I’m not really confident he can get “who we got” significantly better across the season; I think he does his best work across the camps.

Personnel was a huge issue in the Wake game if you remember. Kuba will hopefully play more true safety this season. I'm worried about LB depth.

Well, they weren't exactly the strength of the defense last year considering we were 65th in opponents passing yards per game.

Secondary is fine! They were so young last year. Just think about how Wiggins matured last year! Looked great at the end! Safeties always worry me but I think they only get better!
But to David’s original post: I love to hear about the Cade- Beau connection! Loveeee that!

hard to tell, it could be more a matter of our defense taking a giant step back now that Venables has been gone for 2 years. We will have to wait until the Duke Game before we can accurately gauge any improvement on offense.
