I’m hoping it will be Thompson or Williams. Can’t have to many good receivers on the field if the QB is on target!

Shaq Smith is my leading candidate. There's a few others who I think could have big years, but maybe wouldn't be considered "breakout" players because everyone kind of expects them to be good, like Albert Huggins, Tee, Trayvon Mullen, and then of course, T Law

So DL is out because it won’t be a surprise.

Not sure we would be able to mention either qb under this logic. I’m not sure I’d call Etn a breakout because he has high expectations. I know you didn’t ask who we would like but I’m hoping we have a breakout in the dbs. I’ll go Isaiah Simmons there or Logan Rudolph for linebacker. And hopeful tee Higgins and etn just take a natural step forward but again I won’t count those as breakouts per se

Player? As in a single player? I don’t know where to start.

We are going to have several.

Are we talking about someone everyone expects to have a breakout year, one of our true freshman, or maybe a sleeper candidate that has redshirted or has otherwise been waiting their turn behind other playmakers?

One that’s no one is talking about right now- Garrett Williams hopefully we can get the production from the TE position that we have been used to with Allen, Ford, and Leggett.

Agreed on Garrett Williams. He should take a ton of pressure off kb with his blocking and downfield catching ability. Huge upgrade over Milan Richards.

There’s a bad echo in here. I mentioned Williams earlier and I truly expect him to be a very valuable player as a receiver and a blocker. He will surely help ETN get even bigger holes to run through. We missed Williams more last year than many believe.

Need more production from position so I'd be happy if it's Williams, Galloway, or Milan

I remember how excited we were about his "decootment". Injuries and adjustments have slowed him, but hopefully it all comes together for his senior season. Would be great to get at least All-ACC type production.

in terms of coverage skills in games. That is what my eyes tell me. Can't say what happens in practice.

here’s my list
Jun 18, 2018, 12:10 PM
|
|
KVon Wallace (he’s played a good bit but I think he takes the next step and has a great year)
Trevion Thompson (same as KVon)
Kyler McMichael (opportunity to play early at CB if needed)
Lyn-J Dixon (if one RB goes down he can get some carries)

He's already made a lot of big plays and is one of my favorite players on the team, but I think K'Von Wallace is really going to assert himself in our secondary this year. Think he will have a really big year

Somehow Dabo has Tee as co-starter and Rodgers at a starter
Jun 18, 2018, 7:15 PM

WTH? So to Dabo, Tee is not all that.
Same thing with Dexter Lawrence. Give me a team with TL, TH, AJT and Dex as starters over KB, TT, MF and Huggy, and I will take TL and Dex's team with the balance of starters the same to win 9 of 10 games. No offense to 2nd tier starters, but NFL talent is NFL talent.

Amari Rogers -- I hope to see him do what Artavis did.
Choice -- one more last hooray before graduating. I doubt he breaks out per se but i'd like to see him have a really good final season.
Huggins -- He will be rotational but I'd like to see his name in the press clippings to bump his draft stock
Galloway -- obviously coming in as a true freshman and two upper classmen in front of him it'll be tough but i'd like to see him do big things down the middle of the field.

Great skills. Great attitude. Wish he would have redshirted a year. And still hopes he gets some NFL love.

Shaq Smith. He's a thoroughbred who's been biting at the bit. I think he's going to be a monster at weak side LB.

I'd like to see one our TE's step up and become more of a receiving threat. That was something we seemed to lack last year..JC Chalk intrigues me for some reason. He's built more like a FB and reminds a bit of Jack Nicklaus' grandson from FSU a few years back. A player like that is a match up problem for opposing D's and could open up our downfield passing game for our young WR's.. I'll go with Chalk.
