Right guard is just a place holder for us. When are we going to get a real right guard?

And that is where it starts. We just look timid and scared. We play timid on offense. Defense cant get three and outs.

Goodwin and Austin are the issue. Good wins over his head, big time, and the OL has underperformed every year under Austin. Also, he can’t recruit a luck. We are stuck with him, though.

Clemson should be carrying a larger OL room

OL is a very, very very difficult position to project. When your peers (bama, uga, osu) carry 3 to 4 more….they have more room for error, for injuries, and/or missed evaluations.
The OL room has been an issue for many many years. There have been a few exceptions. The evidence shows overwhelmingly that Alabama and Georgia are doing it correctly. There is zero excuse not to have an elite OL group at Clemson. By that I mean more talented depth….. I like the guys we have…but we need more.
The wide receiver group is an issue as well. Thankfully, we have two very good ones committed this year…… But for the past 3-4 years, we have not signed elite talent. You can see that we get very little separation with few exceptions. Self inflicted wounds for no reason except for stubbornness.
As I’ve said many times on here, and will continue to say…… Roster management is the number one issue….. BY FAR. 85 is already a low number; when you play silly games, and sabotage yourself over outdated beliefs I’m not adopting to the way the modern game is being played or managed…. this is the result

Honestly, out of the three phases of the game.

I didn't see one that was better than the other. Special teams were horrible, offense looked lost and unprepared, defense was just flat out of position all night.
It's as bad a football game as I've seen a Clemson team play in at least a decade.
