Way to reach for the stars.....If everyone is happy and excited over the NIT it proves they need to evaluate their expectations! One silver lining, with "post season" we can at least get some much needed practice time on Defense since defense wins games.....if this scenario wasn't so pitiful, it would be funny!

Yes you really should because yours were out of whack if you thought this was a NCAA T team after KJ left early. Grantham was no where near ready to fill in that starting spot.
Edit: I also want to add that I am not "happy and excited" about the NIT but it was the realistic end result of this roster.

Not being sarcastic when I say, your last line of your post is exactly right. This roster does present major challenges, I admit I may have been unfair in my appraisal of where this team should be. The NIT was probably the likely destination given the roster. While I don't always agree with post, I admire your passion about Clemson Basketball, you're a true fan! Now, we do agree on this "new" arena being a potential bust....

Its current set of plans is a gigantic waste of money. We went from being offered a complete rebuild to a refurb.
Also I would be unhappy with the NIT if KJ was here.

Making the NIT would be a huge accomplishment FOR THIS TEAM. Of course that isn't the desired results or goals but making the NCAA was unrealistic for this season minus KJ. It's a compliment to this team that they were even able to play their way onto the bubble at any point of the season. This team works and plays hard and is only getting better. Bright future ahead of us and I hope we get a chance to get some more tournament experience under our belts. We will need it come next year.
