Being rumors are the BIG10 and SEC for some reason don't want Clemson or FSU how would you feel about joining the BIG 12 and how much money do you think we could get with renegotiated contract after that expansion?

Yuk! If that was the only alternative, I'd rather stay in the ACC until the next major conference reorg.

Would not make sense from a revenue standpoint. Tons of expenses to exit the ACC and no clear path to achieve greater revenues later. It’s a non-starter.

My understanding is SEC does want us and FSU, but ESPN does not because it does not make financial sense for them. BIG wants us and FSU to have a national footprint coast to coast. FOX wants this to happen and would probably want 2-3 more ACC teams as well like UNC, UVA, Miami & maybe VT. BIG has the best financial contract as FOX is expanding while ESPN/cable is losing subscribers.

ESECPN could end up being the biggest loser of everything they're trying to control if they're not very careful. NBC and Fox could end up being the winners of a really strong super conference with ESECPN losing some of their power teams to an NBC and Fox sponsorship. Wow, if something like that was to happen, the bragging coots would be in serious trouble!!!

SEC and ESPN and add 6 teams now to get to 24, the BIg 12 and Fox could just as quickly go along with this and grow 8 to get to 24 before the SEC could do anything.
BIG 10 gives ND like 24 hours to come in with a list of these schools Stanford, Clemson, UNC, Florida State, UVA, if no ND then Miami as well. This gives the west teams another team and creates the south part of the BiG 10 and takes the other good schools off the board:
If the BIG 12 plays by taking Ga Tech, NC State, Louisville, Pitt to get to 20 or then add Duke, Tulane, Boise St and Oregon St. They add New Orleans, NC, Atl, Pitt and Louisville TV markets and also give other teams better geographical places to play. And the best part it destroys the Grant of Rights. Both conferences get better and hurts ESPN/SEC at least slightly. Someone needs to act instead of reacting to the SEC

I think BIG would add GT for entry into Atlanta market if GT would commit funds to improve FB.

…better to be proactive vs reactive. Control the battle space if if it causes a bit of temporary discomfort.
This whole business is now a $multi-billion one. I could see checks being written with even some partial percentage for the short term; although Clemson may start out receiving full share due to their brand equity at this point.
Some form of your description is going to happen. Just makes too much business sense for both mega conferences

If Clemson can hold on and be competitive until the 2 super conferences has been formed, we'll do just fine where we're at bc there is no way that Clemson will be left out once it's all said and done!!!

Really good overall conference with good football, good baseball and good basketball but just as for the Big10 and the SEC, there is no financial advantage to pay the ACC their due.

The Big 12 contract between Fox and ESPN is up in 2031. Any new power(4 now) member added before then gets the same 31.7 million share as everyone else. That's less money than the ACC will distribute.
