Biden, after 2 days in the WH, is in Delaware

resting up to weather the arduous task of vacationing at Camp David for a week!!
This white-haired old man with a functional IQ in the high 70s is our 'leader' and the leader of the Free World!! Let that sink in. What comes to mind?
Crime out of control; border out of control; COVID out of control; inflation out of control; gas prices going up because of stupidity and a rush to kill Trump's policies; socialism more popular than democracy with majority of Dems (!); Big Tech out of control; Cancel Culture out of control; fake news MSM out of control; Aghganistan out of control (F up of the century!; VP is MIA (which is probably good)--(talk about approach-avoidance); CA burning to the ground (not all that bad); Climate Hysterics out of control (nothing we'be been told over the past 25 years would happen is yet to come to pass; no surprise); college FB is on a downward slope ! (probably Trump's fault); Pelosi and Schumer are out of control; AOC and Bernie wagging the dog!; Obama setting bad examples (no surpise); Biden making Gates look like a genius; Dem cities/ states too dnagerous to live in; racist Dems calling everybody else racist; Joe Biden with a documented long history of RACISM; confidence in America, especially with Biden supposedly at the helm, is at an all-time record low; Hunter Biden, who should be indicted, still making an a$$ of himself; The Big Guy still denies the obvious Tara Reid coming after him (no wonder Joey won't release pertinent docs that would confirm his 'penetration'; taxes will soon be out of control!, spending out of control.
Otherwise, we're doing just great, right?!
Miss Trump's prosperity? I do, big time! Didn't like him at all but I give him credit for the acomplishments he brought about in just 3.5 years! He did the most for women, Hispanics, African Americnas and other minorities than any other president in history except Honest Abe.

81 million said “Hmmm? Socialism vs mean tweets? I’ll take socialism”. Doesn’t give us much room for optimism.

Absolutely true. The root emotion of the socialist voter is jealousy.

So, I assume you do not plan on receiving Social Security

once you retire. You know, that would make you a Socialist as those government funds will be available to you as many years you survive after your retirement.

SS is your own money the government has held from your income earnings throughout the duration of your working years.

A lot of that is based on the amount you put in yearly and

how long you hold back receiving the benefits. I'm 63 years old and still working. I'm a retired government employee who retired from my government position four years ago and became a consultant. I reached the maximum social security payments before the sixth month of each year as a consultant. I now have my own business and I plan on working until I am at least the age 67 years.
Having said all of that, I will agree that social security does not provide by itself a large monthly retirement benefit, even if you have had a great salary at your various jobs you may have had over your career.
Health care is a better example. My mother died at the age of 88. She worked until age 65, and she was only paying only slightly higher than 1% of her salary toward medicare matched by her employer when she retired. In general, there is not an upper dollar limit on medicare. My mother worked from 18 years until age 65. My point Is that the amount of money my mother received from medicare payments over her life far exceeded the amount she contributed over her 47 years of work. Just to be clear, this was medicare, NOT medicaid.

I plan for SS to be a very minimal if any part of my retirement. But as CUnext said it’s my money. I could have done a heck of a lot better with it than the govt. So, don’t call me a socialist just because I might get back a fraction of what the govt took from me.

By the way , I’m self employed so I pay double what most people pay into SS. When I do the math and look at what I’ve put in and might draw vs what I could have earned on the investment ….. Well, yeah go ahead and tell me I’m benefiting from socialism after you spend some time with your calculator.

You are following a similar path to mine. My government

retirement plan is great, as I was lucky enough to retire from my position at a high level. My monthly retirement began four years ago and by itself, would have been all I needed for the rest of my life.
That said, I was not ready to completely stay home every day, so I went to work with a consulting firm for a little over three years, and left last year to start my own business.
Thankfully, I will receive my monthly retirement check for the rest of my life, and to my wife upon my death. Over the last four years I was able to receive the benefits of working three years as a consultant, and now with my own business. I am at peace knowing my family will be financially secure long after I am gone.

Glad you have a great retirement but our paths are not at all similar. I’m lifelong self employed for the most part. I have no pension. My retirement planning has been my responsibility and I’ve understood that for 30 years. Yes, I’ve saved and invested for many years so I will be fine. But I’ve had to say no to myself on many things and live below my means because it’s been up to me to look ahead. Again, glad you have the pension.

week.
He has meetings with the Defense Department over the removal of U.S. military and staff out of Afghanistan. There are meetings on the Mask Mandates. Three teaches died this week at the same school, none of them had been vaccinated.
As President of the U.S., you work 7 days a week.

Not a Trump supporter at all. But I do give him credit for his incredible accomplishments in just 3.5 years.
But I'm certainly capable of recognizing a demented, confused, incompetent president (same for the joke of a VP) completely overwhlemed by events in America and abroad. No way he can lead us the way a president should. If you think Biden's the guy, you're seriously delusional and in denial.
No reasonable person can defend his policies/ decisions over the past six months, not even you. He has put our country in Critical Condition. He lied himself into the WH and has done nothing to unite America...to the contrary, we've never been divided. The majority of Dems prefer Socialism over democracy!! How does that set with you?
God help us.

Yet he has been a huge upgrade on Trump. Trump was the worst US history and will be remembered that way historically.

I cherish the day he will take me on! Even in an open debate at a venue of his choosing. He's in over his head, already!! It's obvious that his cerebral synapses are struggling.

Ah, Boomers.
You are such delights, and you carry with you such...solutions.
Seriously, I cannot believe you guys were once hippies. Because you've pretty much all signed up for the Nazi Stellar Guard at this point, and you'd liquify and eat your own young at this point if it'd get you an extra year of life.
Don't get any ideas.

Ok now my head is swelling. My brother actually was a wanna be hippie. We were in high school and he wanted to let his hair grow long. My dad and my baseball coaches never allowed long hair. One day my brother asked my dad if he could let his hair grow down to his shoulders. Me dad said “sure”. We were stunned. My brother was thrilled. As he turned to walk away my dad said “I have one question, where you gonna live?”
