As passionate a player as Clemson has ever had.
The problem with that tackle is he was not in the WWE and that a suplex is not allowed.
Loved Ben, what a motor he had.

Boulware was a good player BUT he was a better leader of the team. Something lacking in today’s roster.
Eleven guys on the field who absolutely refuse to lose .... will not lose many games.
Recruit it OR get in from the portal but .... get it!

Not sure why they are getting so much grief from our fanbase. People seem to forget about our defensive struggles over the years because our offense was so good.

Check out the points given up in the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 seasons.
Heck, the Coots put up 35 points and that darned QB had over 500 yard passing...BUT the offense put up 56 and the game was never in doubt.
This 2023 defense has played good football. Definitely good enough to be 4-0. It is inability of the offense to secure the football and stop turning it over that hurts.

Unnecessary roughness is completely subjective. The whole concept of forward progress and blowing a play dead exist to stop this kind of situation. The runner was making every effort to escape. The suplex was the result of the ref’s negligence more the Boulware’s. Essentially in giving the runner ample time to escape, which he was definitely trying to do, he forced Boulware to use his strength and leverage to end the play. Boulware can’t play nice in this situation. Can you imagine what the JK’s of the world would be be saying about Boulware if he let that guy break the tackle? Or if he tried to put him down after he was up in the air in a manner that resulted in him not ruled down and he took off?

Totally agree that he wasn't left with really any other choice in getting a tackle and trying to prevent the first down than that play he made.
Sure hope Dabo doesn't fall for the whole friends and family deal though and ever consider him as a potential addition to the coaching staff at some point. Oh the horror.

My son caught a short pass and was stopped and then picked up exactly like this from behind and dropped after the whistle, just slightly enough off the base of his neck to not paralyze him. He did go completely numb for a couple minutes before being helped off the field after feeling returned. This “move” has no place on a football field and will paralyze somebody eventually if people keep using it, despite getting flagged. Good to see a lot of Clemson fans talking up this as a “tough” way to play defense though.

You should tell your son that football is a dangerous game and that he could really get hurt out there.
How's his golf swing?

I have enough golf clubs left to beat your drunk ### into a bloody pulp any time you want to go sporty.
I played football when real football was legal and that suplex move would have still gotten your ### beat since you would have been too big of a ##### to hit somebody straight up tough guy.

The Boulware play went on too long without a whistle. Doesn’t sound like your situation was the same.
