BCS RANKINGS, i just dont understand.....
Nov 11, 2013, 9:33 AM
|

Im sorry but i just dont get it. These BCS rankings and the bias opnion towards the SEC. There is no concept to these ranking. I dont care what the score is, when your only loss is to a team that could beat anyone including A-LA-BAMA, I dont think you should be falling in the rankings while teams that have lost to UNRANKED teams move up. Someone please explain this BCS BS propaganda to me, because I honestly think college football hates Clemson and wants to give us no credit. Why is it mandatory that Clemson MUST win EVERY SINGLE GAME in order for anyone to give us props ...(including half of our fans....sad)

Bring on the playoffs. Expand it to the top 16 teams with a selection committee and we can end this ridiculousness.

If that's the case, then the SEC would have a total of one 1....mabye 2 teams in the playoffs. And I think it will finally expose the SE(BAMA)C for what it really is.

You're right 4 Team Playoff system won't work either. ESECPN will keep these SEC teams ranked up there it needs to be at least 16 teams. There should be no preseason rankings. Alabama shouldn't just get to sit on the throne until someone knocks them off. The BCS is ridiculous and ESPN doesn't even try to hide their bias anymore. ACC and other conferences have to have PERFECT seasons to even be CONSIDERED for NCG while the SEC teams with 2 & 3 losses remain in top 25. It is ludicrous that SCAR is ranked #10. The BCS is a JOKE. Goooo Tigers! Fight like hell ###### and WIN!!!

Georgia falling in the rankings is hurting... + the Jeff Sagarin poll which, for whatever reason, always has us 5 spots lower than every poll in America. Dont worry about it, we win in Columbia, we go to a big game. That is all we have control over.

I agree with you. We win our games, and the rest takes care of itself. believe the prediction I saw on here that we are in the Orange Bowl assumes we bet usuc this year. That is a good assumption. I think we finally are hungry again.

If i were a senior on that team..(besides the ones that are obviously first round picks....whick could possibly be 3 people this year), I would be past the point of hungry, wanting to push my body as far as i could. I want to see the tigers that I saw the opening against Georgia when all of my cloest 80,000+ friends were there. Come on I know you all saw it too. Im a tiger through and through but we have just seemed slumped after the BC game..not the FSU game.

But guess what guys, you have no reason to be upset or slumped. go out and blow everyone out of the water like you know you can do. One of the most prolific offenses, and by far one of the best pass rush d's in the nation. People should give Clemson nothing but credit. Alomst of the likes of LSU, you dont hear anyone talking smack about them, and theyve lost what 3 games, and not even ranked in the top 15. And I think we are better than Stanford haha just saying...

That's why we need 8 main conferences and an 8 team

playoff. With 8 main conferences, we could fit anywhere between 96-128 teams (12 to 16 teams per conference). Winner of each conference goes to the playoffs. The four BCS bowls are the first round. The 4 winners each play a game and those winners are in the NCG. It would add exactly one week of football (2 huge semi-finals). You don't win your conference, you don't play. I don't understand what's so hard about that.

In no way do I think a 6-6 team should be going to a bowl. And when they're playing in Boise, Idaho in front of 3200 people, that just doesn't make sense. At that point, you're just exploiting kids for the sake of some tv money. The players like it (I guess?) - but beyond some late night TV filler, I don't understand the logic.

Doing away with all the Bowl games would be the wrong thing to do. Not only does it generate revenue for the teams and conference but, more importantly, it allows the competing teams to have an extra 12 days of practice. Clemson uses this extra practice just as it would an extra spring practice and works primarily with the young guys who will play a bigger role the next season. Teams such as Clemson who always get a bowl invite somewhere truly benefit from the bowl experience.

Sure, they'll 3itch and moan, and you'll hear about how it's impossible to beat Alabama and reach the playoffs, but even if another team got in, sooner or later they'd have to face Bama. You don't like it? Get better.

put in 4-SEC teams. It would be similar to how this year is. Right now the committee would probably put Alabama, FSU, Ohio State, and Baylor/Stanford. Woah, only 1-SEC team!

And should Baylor win out it would DEFINITELY be Bama, FSU, OHST, Baylor.
They are not going to leave out an undefeated AQ conference team in favor of a team with a loss.
It gets murkier when there are a lot of 1 loss teams and not so many undefeated teams, but this year would be simple (so far).

Auburn has gotten better each week. They beat A&M on the road, a better win than any of ours.

doesn't matter. Bottom line is...win and improve. AU still has Georgia and Bama. We still play the coots. OSU can still lose, Stanford can still lose. Had we narrowly lost to FSU instead of getting destroyed, I think we'd be higher. But we got our butts whipped and we're ranked where we should be IMO.
Our quality win is against UGA, who has been decimated by injuries. If we win out, we'll have a very good BCS ranking and will get a BCS game, which is all we can hope for at this point.

Hardest thing to swallow is watching The chickens climb after losing to a TERRIBLE Tenn team and a falling UGA team. If Clemson would had lost those same two games they would not be anywhere in the top 25. INSANITY!

It is all a conspiracy to keep a little college in upstate South Carolina. They spend weeks and weeks and months trying to engineer system who soles purpose is to keep Clemson down.
Deep in a cave in the NCAa headquarters, the evil Dr. Nofootball is hard at work devising a system guarenteed to help the SEC and hurt Clemson......nothing else matters
If you got to Area 51 look behind the grassy knoll, past the big stone thingies, you will see guy with a FreeMason symbol, give him the secret password and he will tell you how he manipulates 7 computers and 120 voters to make sure it is Bama, TAM, LSU and USC in the final four.
