Wrong board!

TCU in Toronto, and at Memphis, we will then have 2 easy games and could be 12-0 going against Miami.

These are obviously not cake walks

But I think we’ve already shown our level. I think currently we’re a top-15 team. And I think it’s impossible to not see progression from here.

I still think Brad’s best team was 2016. But that doesn’t mean this one can’t do better than Sweet 16 with how things shake out in March all the time.

I love the grit for this team. Coots don’t look bad this year, it was a physical game that I think we underestimated from the start. But when they collected themselves and realized they had to start getting after it in the 2nd half, things changed immediately.

I truly believe that in this year, if Girard is hot, PJ is on, and the role players are physical, then this is the best team in the ACC.

I think it's more likely that we are decent seed in the NCAAs, like 5 to 7, and lose to a lower seed.

One thing I feel like we are missing and have missed forever is a guard who can make his own shots.

I feel like we are also going to be vulnerable to a small fast team with really good guard play and that's those smaller league teams in the 9-12 seeding range.

TBF, we didn't know we had a Sweet 16 team that year either - we really caught fire against Auburn and put up a heck of a game with Kansas - Gabe DeVoe went off from what I remember.

That said, I'm cautiously optimistic. Basketball is a long season and I know a loss or two could happen anytime. Sadly, like when our Tigers lose in football, you've got that bunch ready to jump up and start screaming doomsday the moment it happens.

If we manage to win 1 of the next 2 and close out against the should-be wins, I'm curious to see how we do when we roll up to Miami in the new year.
