I agree, Vegas sees what the talking heads fail to see. LSU does not play defense, and when their offense faces a defense with a pulse, see Auburn, their numbers aren't as inflated. Not saying Bamas D has been great but they are more than just a one trick pony.

Haha... funny story (not)... ESPN had it at -16 about 10 minutes ago. I just checked again and its down to -8. Its not Vegas, of course, because they won't have the spread until next week.

IMHO, if you can only beat Auburn by 3 at your place, you are not going to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. Hopefully they lose to Bama by fewer than 16 and ESecPN keeps up their ‘cause sec’ blather so they can get into the CFP and we can beat ‘em too.

Where do you find lines two weeks out? Anyway, I do think Bama will win. I think Auburn would have beat LSU at their place if their QB wasn't so inconsistent. He missed wide open receivers on key downs. I'm not impressed with LSU. I expect Alabama will take care of business at home.

LSU hasn't had this type of successful in a decade. Alabama is used to the headlines and used to reading about how great they are each week and can usually handle the business end of things. How does LSU handle being #1, how do they handle everyone telling them they are the best team ever to grace the football field for a week? Do they stay humble and hungry? We know Bama is... not certain of LSU.

This is the spread ESPN originally released as Vegas does not release spreads this early. I just checked again and they dropped it down to 8 making me look like a liar. SMH

The -17ish numbers you are seeing are from "Games of the Year" betting lines which are posted by BetOnline during the spring of 2019. I believe those lines can be bet on before the season starts.
