So TW, what are your thoughts about this article? I see a lot of positives, but also a few negatives.
He definitely wants to be part of a winning program. Sounds like he would really like to play with both TL & ZW and be part of a special class in 2018. He also knows they could make a run for the Natty here together.
I don't like the fact Bama is selling him on playing time & they didn't recruit his position this year leaving an opening for him to start immediately. What is our depth like after next season? And the fact he's keeping an eye to see what jr is doing & that he would definitely be committed if Spurrier was still there don't make me feel great.

My thoughts haven't wavered.
Clemson leads IMO.
Xavier will be part of the two deep immediately. He also won't face the heavy pressure at SCar to do it on his own. He'll have Lawrence, Belk, Pinckney and Higgins to take the pressure off of him. Also, Brent Venaes is a huge factor.
He's making a career decision. And it's obvious that his career will be helped more at Clemson than SCar.

I'm hoping he's just playing the recruiting game for a little travel & R&R. Hope we get the dynamic trio, which probably means a few more may join them!

Yep, and schematically/personnel wise, he definitely prefers us. He likes that he'll get plenty of 1v1 opportunities in a defense known for sacks & TFL.

That's a Tommy Bowden type of comment. You can choose to be the face of a sub-mediocre program, or be one of many stars on a national championship team. Not to mention Columbia is a ####hole.

Every "insider" I've heard speak says it's a positive not only for his focus on football, but the fact is nearly everyone around him is a South Carolina fan. By being away from that, he's potentially able to look at the situation a little more objectively.

I like the enthusiasm, but I think he was saying "we" as in him and Zamir White, saying that if those two played together that we could have the best class ever, because the question was about him and Zamir and Trevor, he was referring to them as a we because of the question. I hope it works out, but I don't see it
