I did not know the AJC had "standards" in which to violate.

if UGa can't control its football players, they can at least try to control the media. How very socialistic and authoritarian of them.

Proud of them for finally attempting to control something off the field.

Just semantics from what I read in that article and nothing that changes the overall implications of the original report.
The AJC was unable to verify the precise number of 11 players. OK, so were they able to verify 10? If so, that changes essentially nothing in my mind.
And the AJC even states that the merging of the two quotes that were made minutes apart into one change did not change the overall meaning.
If that's all this guy got fired for, that's pretty scary. Just straight censorship and flexing of power by UGA.
But as Omar famously said in The Wire, "If you come at the king you best not miss."

The story suggested the school shielded 11 players from accusations of violence against women. You think its only a minor inconvenience the paper can substantiate that?

the "precise" number of players (11). Nobody refuted that UGA shielded players from accusations, simply the number of players.

So what is the accurate number of players UGA shielded? And what is the evidence?

I'm not agitated about anything. I'm asking why some here think its not a big deal that a major news outlet reported UGA was essentially covering for 11 players who had committed violence against women, with apparently no evidence to support it. I understand football rivalry. But this should be okay all because you don't like UGA?

is that UGa hasn't disputed the allegations but only the number of players involved. Again. like you, UGA seems more perturbed that it got reported than about it actually occurring.

Shocking that you are just now realizing how the media has been operating for centuries. For decades, at the very least, it has been a race to print first without regard for the fallout and retract later, if necessary.
In your case nobody cares about the retraction of minor details because it changes nothing about the narrative.

Bryant Gantt and Company continue to do their best to ensure that nobody ever finds out.
Why does a clean program need to keep a fixer on staff - his only job is to clean up all the dog$H!7
I will be ashamed if Clemson employs a "Director of Player Support and Operations" Clemson Men are able to support their own operations off the field such as driving at reasonable speeds and finding 'dates' that actually consent. When this doesn't occur, Dabo is our 'FIXER' and fixes them out of our program.
Your gall to come on this message board and act clueless about the stench of the UGA football program is impressive.

Truth!
I thought we put this to bed yesterday, but the dawgs keep coming in here and puking on the floor.
Your program is dirty - disputing the minutiae does not eliminate the bigger picture. In this case the details have become a minor concern riding backseat to what has become a major problem. This is what happens when you allow shenanigans to become so widespread. Errors with the details are no longer enough to paint over your dog mess.
