Not only does Brownell suck in bball recruiting

Now hes dragging us down in football recruiting! The new LJ isnt gonna call Tee Higgins, youre actually gonna have to do some work and do it yourself. I know its not your strong suit, but don't screw this up for Dabo and Co! #TalkToHiggins

But im more concerned with Clemsons recruitment of Higgins and how brownell could have moved us to his top spot with something as simple as a 5 minute conversation.

Maybe the coaches of different sports has a standing understanding that they don't attempt to recruit one of their recruits. Dabo knows that T wants to play BB, if he was OK with that, don't you think he would have talked to Brad about it since he would be on a FB scholarship!!!

You ever think BB doesn't think he fits his system or doesn't like his skill set? If Tee wants to come to Clemson football is a year round sport around here.

And what makes Clemson special is that we don't give kids false illusions or lie to them or cheat on the recruiting trail.
I'd say our recruiting speaks for itself. How many 5*'s have you landed lately?

Let me just see if I understand your "burn" correctly

Dude visits Clemson for a football recruiting trip. Dude doesn't meet with Brownell, the basketball coach. You put 2 and 2 together to get 75 and assume that Brownell was at fault here. When your leap in logic is pointed out during a discussion of FOOTBALL recruiting and someone mentions the 5*'s that Clemson is pulling in in FOOTBALL you somehow argue that this has anything to do with BASKETBALL recruiting history?
Here's the point. You may be right and Brownell may have simply decided to not talk to the dude and did so because he's a horrible recruiter (your sentiments not mine). But it seems you have to want to grind an ax to reach that conclusion over the myriad of other possibilities.

And how do you know that has never happened?? How exactly does one even give a virtual tour? Send a link to a website?
The article says he DIDNT speak to him not that he HASNT.
Like apex said you are making a lot of assumptions.

Also it clearly says in the article he "didnt" talk to Brownell. Not that he hasnt talked to Brownell.
Our basketball staff was kinda busy this weekend running a massive camp for a lot of kids.

Dabo can be much more selective at this point and probably doesn't have a need to let football recruits dictate the terms of what they do while on football scholarship.

Kyle Parker played Basketball?
It is much different playing two sports that have seasons that are separated vs seasons that run together. That is why you see many more Football/Baseball guys vs Football/Basektball
Also Nuk played one season. Stop acting like he played every year for basketball and was a tremendous contributor.

If the kid wants to go to UT than so be it! I would love to have him but I think we will be just fine at WR. Stop acting like BB has anything to do with this. You just want to start drama and be a d o u c h e. Go on with that chit.

Tee is a FOOTBALL recruit at Clemson
Jun 17, 2016, 2:46 PM
|

It's Dabo's call if that meeting/phone call ever takes place.
Some people(I won't call them idiots) don't think things through. If Dabo gets to the point of wanting Brad to meet with or call Tee, it'll happen. Dabo is THE MAN and calls the shots. Brad can't contact a football recruit, he also can't refuse a meeting/phone call if Dabo requests it.

I don't want our football players fooling around with...

Basketball during the off seasons. Remember Nuk? It was five or six games into the season before the coaches figured out he had the best hands on the team. Had he continued to dally with basketball do you honestly think he would have gone first round?
These boys are 10 feet tall and bullet proof when the leave high school. Few have any idea what they can and cannot do. Playing two sports is like having two girl friends, sooner or later you're going to slight them both trying to thread the needle of maintaining two such commitments.
I don't give a carp what anyone says. It's best for Clemson and the recruit if he decides now whether he wants to play BB or FB after college.
