After week 2 it’s pretty obvious our concerns

About being left out were unfounded. Yes, we have learned that We definitely stepped back offensively. But losing 9 and 16 is a big deal. A and M won’t be there, Notre Dame is the most overrated team in the top 10, many other losses to come in top 5.
Meanwhile, DJ will get better every week, we have some really exciting new running back talent, Taisun was most improved, a good team to get behind and pull for. Maybe we won’t make it this year. I think I’ll just hope for the best and take it week to week. Like we always have.

I agree with you. Those who were criticizing DJ seem to forget that Trever hit a few bumps during the first few games his second year.

Completely different circumstances though. Trevor just won a national championship and proved his worth. DJ hasn’t proved or accomplished anything yet, plus Trevor was way more talented than DJ is.

I’ve been pretty critical on here while venting in the past. Truthfully though I think we are seeing just how good 16 was.

We have a Championship D and loads of talent on O.
Nobody on the schedule the rest of the regular season has the players we do.
So there is no excuse this team isn’t clicking by Nov.
This is the season we find out just how good our coaching staff really is .
Plus Dabo has said numerous times this is his most experienced team

Yep ,,,,,, everyone, it seems, gets their panties in a wad after the first game of the season before we really know how good everyone is going to be. I think back to the year when Watson did not look like superman after the first four or five games and it looked like Louisville (really Lamar Jackson) were world beaters ....... or when Alabama was the best team ever in college football (until we humbled them). WE just need to continue to work and improve and we will see who above us starts to crumble. If it doesn't happen, then so be it, but I'm not going to be too concerned after two games!
