We need Skalski and Boulware on as GA's. Too bad BV took Skalski before we could get him out there - great coaching mind in the making, and he was our best LB coach after BV when he was here as a player.

But does he have the killer instinct like BV? BV would get the defense worked into frenzy and then they played like sharks with blood in the water.
That is yet to be seen.

Really? They clamped down on him? Didn't he rip off a 44yd TD run when he should have been tackled for a 10yd loss? We had 0 sacks. The DBs played 10+yds off the ball. LB were out of position all night. I agree, they got no help from the offense, but he did not look like a seasoned veteran.

I had caulked it up to being his first year, lots of injuries, other issues...but here we are, second year, healthy team, should have been ready to go.....Im just not seeing it. Rush three, soft coverage, dont get after the QB.....I dont get it man, especially vs a quality qb. And that doesnt even address the bad angles and poor tackling....

That 44 yard TD was an execution problem, not a scheme and gameplan problem. If Wes schemes 2 players to the QB and neither take him down, that is poor tackling.
These boys need some wind sprints, bear crawls, and stadium stairs. They need to get angry and hit with purpose when they have chances like that. Give Leonard credit for the play, but Barrett Carter is still a Butkus level LB and he is the most upset about squandering that opportunity.

What we need is a shat load of freshmen on the field these next two games if they execute better, they play it is simple as that.
And don't give me it is an inferior team we just lost to Duke for crap sake. If a player can catch he can catch. If the player can run without dropping the ball let him run.
The real reason slack ### play occurs at Clemson is because the starters know the job is theirs regardless. Next man up only occurs when injuries happen. Next man up should occur when the first man isn't doing his job.
