imploded. LOL. My sister asked me Saturday how it could get worse. This, tonight was the scenario I gave her when I told her, it could get worse. Tyler might be an a$#, but dang Dabo grow a skin and quitmaking headlines for your tantrums. I don't see how a guy that's overcome soo much in life, can be so thin skinned

i don't appreciate Dabo's comments about the fan base
i love the results and what he's done for Clemson football
but attacking the fans sets me off and makes me pretty indifferent to his presence
the bandwagon crap and the "maybe we should lose some more games" crap - too much for me
especially coming from an Alabama grad

One that he didn’t deserve.
And he has been supported by fans from the start, who rallied around him and pulled for him before he gave us a reason to.
Now, we are not worthy and we better behave like he wants us to or we are bad fans. And if we say too much, he will leave and go somewhere else.
Unbelievable.

From 2008-2010, Tiger fans were hoping for the best, but not terribly confident that Dabo was the man.

Hurting your feeling isn’t covered under “for cause” in his contract. They have $65 million reasons not to GAF about Tyler.

He’s not walking away from $65 million and Clemson isn’t going to pay that buyout. Which is why all the bitching and complaining is so thoroughly pointless.

Yes because 13 years with zero success and a buyout south of $5 million definitely correlates in any way. But you are making great points as usual.

is going to pay him that much. The shine is off and no one is knocking down his door.
His best fit is here, he just needs to grow up and fix the issues.

Yes, that’s a deep burn that no one will match his second highest salary in the sport. A salary earned by his accomplishments not a promise of future performance. And he has already earned his cumulative compensation many times over. That’s just a fact. Grown our AD revenue by 260% outpacing any other P5 program during his tenure. Billions in economic development during his tenure. Complaining about his salary is petty, small-minded ######## from people who probably self-identify as free market capitalists but have absolutely no concept what that means.

you can try to change the subject to something else but it doesn't change that fact he is here and needs to fix the problems.

There is a big difference between "no where to go" and no one will match his salary. How can your point stand when you just changed your point? FFS I wish this board had an iq requirement.

So you are saying the he isn't worth what we pay him anywhere else, but due to what he has brought to Clemson and SC he is "owed" this salary. Again, not arguing about his salary.
It doesn't change reality that he would NOT be in huge demand for anywhere NEAR his current salary.
He is not a hot commodity.
Again, not the original point that he will be here regardless of OUR thoughts on this and he needs to get the problem fixed or he WILL face criticism. If you don't think that is true, then you can show yourself the door.

Do you always make things up to try and win an argument. Are used to getting away with it? I never said his salary was "owed" - I'm arguing it has been earned, many times over. However, it is, as a matter of fact and law, "owed" to him because our athletic department, with the advice and consent of the President and Board of Trustees, gave him a contract.
And again, I never said he would command "near his salary" elsewhere. I never said he is a "hot commodity". "Needs to get the problem fixed or WILL face criticism"? Do you understand verb tenses? He IS facing criticism. And I don't have any issue with meaningful criticism. But personal attacks, which the board is filled with are not the same thing. Discussing his hireability does not address the problems that need to be corrected. And fixating on or criticizing his salary does not address the problems that need to be corrected. The contract is a done deal. I would understand the indignation if Neff announced an extension or raise. But that isn't the case.
