either Missouri, UT, UF, or KY. Vandy couldn't beat Francis Marion. 7-5 at best.
Clemson will beat FSU....and play VT in ACCCG. Clemson to final four. FSU to Orange.
Go Tigers.

What's totally funny is I was at a wedding Saturday night as the USUC/ECU game was hanging in the balance. There were more chickens there than TIGERS, but the coot crowd was on MUTE all night long. And no talk of CLEMSON's blowout victory earlier in the day for the coots. The coots were looking for shelter all night long trying to avoid any TIGERS in the house. A very pleasant evening, and I hope we have a few more like that this year.
I think they beat UK and UT as both of those teams suck even worse, but I agree with the other losses to Mizzou and UF. It's gonna be a good year folks.

I don't disagree with you that it is a very real possibility. If that were to happen, this will be spurlid's last year at usuc. He won't put up with the second guessing that would result, nor should he. You know it will come, though.

I think you've got it backwards. As long as they're winning and he looks like a genius, he'll hang around. As soon as they start losing and he has to work, he'll quit.

His ego is too big to let them bring him down and to listen to the berating. IMO, he never will put up with any crap from that bunch. He already threatened to leave before when they talked of not lowering their already abysmal standards to let in some of their academically deficient players.

It's sort of ironic. 10 years ago Clemson fans were saying if Spurrier ever managed to consistently win 7 games at SC, the fans would be dancing in the streets. Now you are saying a 7 win season would make us so mad we would run him off.

again this year. You were mediocre at best through his first 5 seasons, and took a turn up when UGA and FLA fell off the map. Other than beating Clemson, what else have you done? Answer = Nothing.

The jury is still out on Kentucky and UT....
Sep 9, 2014, 2:26 PM

and will be until they play a team with an actual pulse.
UT faces Oklahoma this weekend while Kentucky travels to Florida. Both teams may have more questions than the SAT but that should become a little clearer after this weekend.
The other losses you projected are all very real possibilities.

I think we go 8-4 this year. Losses to A&M, UGA, Auburn and Florida
I think Clemson goes 8-4 as well. Losses to UGA, FSU, Louisville, SC

Yeah, good point. Clemson's 24 point loss looked so much better than ours.
But Clemson kept it close into the second half! Of course Gurley only touched the ball 4 times in the first half.

against a top twelve ranked eight point favorite on the road.
You got blown out at home against a two touchdown underdog and the game wasn't nearly as close as the score might indicate.

If we lose by more than 24 points to UGA this weekend, I'll concede the point and admit you guys have the early edge on the November showdown.
We'll see.

and enable you to test the UGa secondary which will be key. If your offense sputters and can't get your defense off the field, Gurley and company will do the exact same thing to you that they did to the Clemson defense only it will probably be worse.

If SC loses by less than 24 to UGA this week it will only be because Mark Richt chose not too.
Given the score last time UGA played in the roach trap, and the way the old ball sack and SC fans have behaved themselves the last few years, I don't see him choosing not too.
This game may threaten to beat our 63-17 record at WB set a few years back.

That makes perfect sense, because 1) the transitive property actually applies to football, and 2) you're the home team instead of UGA.
Regardless, you're gonna lose, and the outcome of this game will have no bearing on our game, other than you will have another loss before you get the L from us.

Last year,I picked the home team to win and was spot on.
Clemson beat UGA at home. UGA best SCAR at home, and SC beat Clemson at home.
I picked home teams again this year, but after watching UGA and SC, I'm questioning whether SC will beat UGA this year.
In any event, Clemson beats SC at home this year.

UGA always stinks it up in that one and either loses or barely pulls it out, even in years when they have superior talent. I foresee Richt and Bobo putting the game in Mason's hands instead of pounding the rock like they should. I don't really care as long as we beat their ###.
