Take note of Trumpers' behavior following Trump's moronic presser

After the crash. Notice how silent they've gone, both on this board and in person? Sure, you'll have a couple of idiot trolls like Keowee or Rangers who can't help themselves. But where did all the others go? NC Tigers, RTD, Manac, et al? How about the Trumpers you know off this board?
They know what Trump said was wrong and stupid. But in Trumpkin Land, you can't dare admit out loud that Dear Leader did anything wrong.
So here's what they'll do: They're going to wait for this one to cool off and for something else to pop up to latch onto to celebrate Trump. Or criticize his opponents. Eventually, they'll lie and claim he never said what he said at the press conference--RTD will be the first to do this.
Even more noticeably silent are the ones who aren't technically Trumpkins, as they say, but will slink over here to offer lame excuses or explanations about what "he really meant". They've gone silent, too.
A person with integrity could say, "I still support the man as president, but I disagree with how he handled that response to the crash." It's that simple. You haven't shed your support but you acknowledge wrongdoing in the times it happens.
That's the measure of a man on this one. When you're too scared to admit the person you support for president did something wrong, you're nowhere close to being a man.

Female pilot, although QUALIFIED, had least hours of the three. Helicopter identified visually the wrong plane when requested by ATC Helicopter had to be higher than 200 ft to hit the plane in its approach.

as it pertains to our leaders.
There are very few situations I can think of when it is a good idea for the POTUS to speculate about anything. When the POTUS stands behind the seal of the President is represents the country and the government/authority. And especially in the case of a tragedy...he should only be dealing in facts. Period. There is no room for speculation, or his opinion, or trying to score political points off the deaths of 67 people and soldiers.
He admitted, when questioned, that he had no specific knowledge of DEI impact and that he was just speculating on things that it "could be".
So, sorry, doesn't matter if he has some other info that we don't...unless it's facts...there should be no speculation or guessing or trying to shape a message for political purposes.
And to be clear, I fully support the idea of reversing of DEI initiatives 100%.
His presser was totally out of line and an embarrassment to his office and our country. We have to be willing to call our leaders out...even if they're on "our team".

Trump may know something we don’t and in general he’s absolutely right about DEI crap. But he popped off at the mouth at an inappropriate time on this one. Even if this were to end up being a case of gross incompetence he should have saved it until things “settle down”. I said that as soon as I heard his comments.

Most of you have no idea about what DEI actually entails. Only what Fox News tells you, and that is all exaggeration and lies. It's a sad state of affairs when the clowns don't understand how the rest of circus works.

It was absolutely stupid and unwarranted to say what he said. The NTSB usually takes weeks and weeks to reconstruct a flying accident and the chopper pilot being female means what?
Females as a whole are probably better pilots in everything but high performance aircraft, where the maneuvers to defeat high G forces are more physically demanding. Women have superior hand eye coordination when compared to most men.
It may be a combination of factors that led to this tragedy and Trump would have served the country well simply to have mourned the lost souls and leave the reasons for the crash to the experts at NTSB.
We have gone from a cognitively impaired President who hid from the media to an unthoughtful and impetuous blowhard who doesn't know when to shut up.
He will do some good things. He's not all bad, but his filter is completely shot and it is not becoming of a President.

I did not watch the presser

I read your synopsis and that's the only exposure I have. It's a painful read. To be fair, pretty much all of his speeches when converted to text are painful reads lol.
He's horrible at speaking, pretty much in all venues, but especially at times when he should be supportive, bland, "politiciany", etc. Whatever word you have for it.
Key indicator of narcissism when one lacks empathy. The only empathy I feel like I've ever seen from him was when he was in NC last week?
Tragic what happened to the families. I feel for them, genuinely do - it could've been many of us on these boards. But when the Mothership has your date to go picked, you gone.
Honestly - I don't really give a #### (about his response), in that it's not in my investment thesis nor any roadmap to get where I want to get. Tragedies happen, accidents happen - would it be nice for POTUS to give nice/supportive messages? Yeah, sure. Is the key criteria for a POTUS to give nice/supportive messages in these time? No, not for me at least, not right now. Emotion / feelings based responses are for emotion / feelings based individuals.
So to play your binary game: I still support the manhis agenda (don't really support "a man", cept maybe our Lord and Savior Dabo Swinney), but I disagree with how he handled that response (that I didn't watch) to the crash.

I think it matters a lot what the POTUS says and how they say it.
As an example...think about the chance of eroding confidence in the aviation industry or the military unjustly. Or the potential impact on the victim's families. Or the erosion of confidence in the office of the President itself (which has already happened to some degree).

Along with the Reagan mention on the Challenger, I'll go with Dubya. You know I didn't like him as a president, but his comments after 9/11 were EXACTLY what our nation needed to hear, especially that speech at Ground Zero.
Can you imagine the ####### disaster it would have been if Trump had been our president then?
Words do matter. People need leadership and comfort during these times, not an idiot who makes it about himself and throws out absurd blame.

Reagan went to his grave feeling partially responsible for the Challenger disaster. The engineers who didn't want to launch because of the cold weather were over-ruled because Reagan wanted the launch as a backdrop for a planned speech. That incident has been central training at three companies for me so far.

I'm not a Trumper but do agree with much of what he's doing. Having said that would I have preferred his comments have a more Reaganesque tone to them? Of course, who wouldn't? Been waiting nearly 50 years for someone to recapture that magic but afraid it only comes around once a century or so. Regardless I'd still rather have Trump spiting fire and pounding tables, however misguided, than have Biden mumbling incoherently and having zero faith he'll get to the bottom of whatever may have caused this tragedy. Its odd the same people who posted on here for years about how it was a right wing conspiracy that our POTUS was demented and had no issues whatsoever with his complete and utter lack of successful public communication are now spiking the football over something as ultimately irrelevant as this. Must be slim pickings in kookville these days.

time. I've commented numerous times on this board that Trump steps on his own crank with dumb shid all the time. He has the unique ability to kill his own policy message saying dumbazz shid all the time - one of the reasons I have not voted for him in any Republican Primary.
Yesterday's comments on the crash was simply another example of Trump's inability to S.T.F.U. Why he feels it necessary to say anything other than condolences to the victims and NTSB and Army Aviation Safety are investigating it is beyond me. I truly wish Trump had the ability to put his ego in check and filter what pops into his brain before it exits his mouth but unfortunately that is not who he is.
Trump's stupid, undisciplined comments is just one of the man's many faults BUT I'd still take his policies and Administration over that of the current Democratic Party any day of the week.

Maybe he should’ve waited to tell the truth. I understand being sensitive to the fact that families are dealing with loss. That being said, he was telling the truth. This was a completely preventable tragedy. It’s well known that DEI has taken over the FAA. If my family member was on that plane I’d be happy to see Trump saying what he said.

IDK if DEI initiatives resulted in this crash. Maybe, maybe not. Bottom line is someone ###### up, royally. That being said everything Trump said about DEI resulting in mediocre hires in the FAA was completely true. Probably would’ve been smart to wait to say that later on but it was all true. Yes if my family members had died in that crash I would want answers, immediately. Seems like Trump and his people are laser focused on finding that out.

How about if you were family of one of those helicopter pilots and Trump threw your loved one under the bus like he did in the presser? Or insinuated your female loved one wasn't qualified? How would you like that less than 24 hours after losing her?
The dad of one of the helicopter victims has already gone public to trash Trump for disparaging the woman who served with his son.
Y'all really don't think this #### through. Trump has polluted all of your brains.
