News from Athens....

Jawga has Pruitt so that automatically makes that no talent D better than fsu was last year. They supposedly got bigger, faster, stronger over night by hiring him. Turned 3 star kids into 7 star super bowl caliber talent. The suspensions and expulsions only made them better. They won't miss JHC at all. Losing to Vandy made them better. Losing in the bowl game "united" them as a team. Allegedly we're doomed. Ask any ThUGA fan who is out on parole. smh
...dream on dawgs... we got this.

starting taking credit for what Pruitt did at FSU last season against us.
Sounds pretty desperate to me.

got a link to that spiller? Ga will be better prepared for clemson this time around and clemson will not be nearly as polished on offense. tween the hedges i'm liking those odds.

well i confident in Jeremy Pruitt and he knows far more about the situation than you or I. Last time i checked Alexander and Tankersley will be starting their first college games of their careers. JJ Green played as a true freshman.

Here's the difference. JJ Green played safety in hs and RB last year. Alexander is a RS freshman BUT is a DB and recruited as such. And has been apart of the system and not new to it in college. Unlike the two week superstar in Green. That's the ThUGA mentality, played safety for 2 weeks in fall camp and therefore must be a stud.

spin it but Green started as a true freshman sans at RB but playing DB is not foreign to him. He is very talented.....and yes he is a stud. Alexander was injured last year barely practicing until this spring. clem is greener at the corners than UGA.

Our corners are more experienced

Alexander only had a minor bang up. How can a freshman backup RB with no serious playing time, that got switched to SAFETY (a position RB's are not built for), and has only been at the position for 2 weeks be better than one of the most experienced defenses in the country?

Green was switched to the secondary before spring practice. He's be moved from corner to safety. Moore and Green at the safeties and Swann and Fenteng at the corners.
How can Cu's secondary who will be starting rookie corners be one of the nations most experienced? your Dline and lber Anthony have experience but in reality it ends there sans Smith at safety. 3/4 of your starting secondary has but 3 starts.....(Kearse)

All y'all been saying for weeks is Pruitt this and Pruitt that. And when we ask for some evidence of what he's really going to do at UGA, y'all bring up last year's FSU/Clemson game. Which, by the way, had very little to do with UGA.

no but what i've been trying to get through your thick heads is GA will be better off in the secondary than in 2013 where we started two freshmen and a slow-a$$ walk-on white boy in Connor Norman. We will be better right off the bat from a physical and talent standpoint. Oh, and Cu won't be nearly as talented on offense.

I don't know how much better they'll be this year, but...
Aug 18, 2014, 5:12 PM
|

although Pruitt's defense last year at FSU actually gave up more YPG than Stoops's did the year before, they gave up 100 yards less to Clemson last year and they also gave up 1 or 2 points less per game.
Also, while Georgia's defense wasn't anything special last year, it's not like they were horrible in all aspects of the game. They finished 50th overall- way too low for as talented as they were- but they actually gave up less rushing yards than we did. Their problem was defending the pass and giving up too many points.

Actually the sophomore RB at Safety is naturally a DB. He played both ways in High School. He is a pretty good DB but never really got tested in High School. They decided to shift him back to DB due to the depth at RB. He's not very tall and Mike Williams shouldn't have any problems going of the top on him.

Fun fact: Clemson gave up more yards on the ground while leading by 15 or more than any team but FSU. I also found that while most teams decrease the average yard allowed per rush in this situation ours actually ballooned above our season ending average. If you remove those yards and attempt from the total allowed our average ypc allowed would have been around 15th in the country.

Isn't that EXACTLY the same thing Clemson fans think about Stoudt?
UGA returned TWO starters on defense last year.. we will be better solely based on having more experience and depth across the entire defense... having a better College DC will only help regardless how you want to spin it.

And how'd that go?!! These sec skewls think they'll just ground and pound and win. Not the case. Plus, Ohio St. was picked by everyone of these pundits and that didn't work. Braxton would just run all over us?! Wrong! We're the same defensive line crew, more experienced, and have depth too. It takes them two OTs to beat GT and they're thinking about our run D?! Yea.....

These are the same idiots that thought that OSU had the best O-linemen in the country and manhandle our Defense and win without a problem. Well Shuey says Hi. Braxton Miller is not really hurt again, he's just still having nightmares about getting hit by the Clemson Defense. Go Tigers sent the poodles to the pound.
