The SEC has won every national championship for nearly a decade, and have been the best conference for as long.

They've earned it.

Until another conference steps up and stops them, they will continue to be the most talked about.

You misspelled Alabama

The conference didn't win the title. A team FROM the conference won the title. That doesn't all of a sudden make all of them world beaters. However, the media would have you believe that the SEC is a hive mind and when you play one team you're playing against all of them.....Kentucky included.

The problem with the oh so funny "you misspelled Alabama" comments is the fact that during this 7 year stretch it's been 4 different teams winning the national championship. Alabama has won 3, Florida 2, Auburn 1, and though LSU has won one since this streak began it also won a national championship in 2003.

The power of the SEC ranges far further than Alabama. If Bama hadn't been in the 2011 national championship vs LSU and it had been OK State, LSU would have rolled them (the Cowboys). If Georgia had beaten Bama in the SEC championship they would have rolled Notre Dame. In both 2008 and 2009 Bama and Florida played each other in the SEC championship, going 1-1 against one another and winning both national championships...the loser of the SEC champsionship game would have won against both Oklahoma and Texas in the national championship.

I know people like to pretend the SEC is just Alabama, but it's just not true. It's the best conference in the nation, without question.

If Clemson had played LSU last year in the BCS title game we would have won too. Your argument is just plain dumb. 4 teams do not make a conference. You have 4 solid teams and the rest are just mediocre garbage.

No, not Kentucky included.

And the SEC has that mentality because they know how tough it is to make it through the SEC.

If a team makes it through the SEC into the BCSNCG, they've had to go through several physical top 10 teams.

So there is respect within the conference because they've gone to war with each other.
