I am better off now

My business has been strong and has not slowed one bit. I sold a restaurant that I built and have been dumping money into for 20 years right at the height of the elevated property values just before things slowed down. I have some other commercial property that is paid for and is giving me a nice monthly income. After 20 plus years of sweat equity and dumping money in, finally I am seeing the benefits.
The stock and bond market has been bad, but I still managed to do better than the S&P 500 last year, which wasn't hard. As I near retirement I am diversified more and less risky chasing dividends and interest instead of chasing growth.
My family is healthy and while my wife and I still both work very hard, we are taking a lot more trips and spending more money. I have saved hard for 30 plus years and now it's time to spend the savings.
My children and doing extremely well, one got engaged (after 5 years) and the other seems to have found her life long mate. Both guys are really good guys, so there are no worries there. My girls make great money and can easily take care of themselves so they attracted strong men that can also take care of themselves.
I like to complain about politics, and there is a lot to complain about these days. Biden is a disaster and the woke lefties are mostly pure scum. But they are no different than the loser hippies of the 60's. Society will overcome. Unfortunately there are a lot of wackos on the right too.
I miss Ronald Reagan.

Better. And it doesn't have to do with either man.

In 2021 I opened my own firm and it's the best job I've ever had. The same year, I married my soulmate.
Neither president had anything to do with it.

But I know I've never really noticed any significant effect in my life, or the ones close to me. Looks like most everyone in this thread has a similar story so far.

I guess it's great that you weren't working on the Keystone pipeline, or living on the southern border, or lost your job via vax mandates. I guess the "proof" is only within.

There are always exceptions.

The OP was asking for personal experience, and I answered accordingly. Then my reply was a general statement, not made in absolutes.
That's leaving aside whether those specific scenarios are directly related to who is President, which is quite arguable.

Zero playoff wins since Trump left office (or BLM came to campus). One of those is the reason.

Smart people and those with resources can adapt.
Am I 'worse off' than with Trump? Not really, but that is because it doesn't matter to me financially if I pay $6.99 for a frozen pizza or $11.99 like it is now. Sure, I can double the food bill, pay 25% more utilities, lose seven digits of 401(k) value on paper, and not see a significant change in my *daily* life or standard of living.
But, for the majority of people, inflation is a problem and has likely had a tangible impact on their daily life, changing decisions they make.
The more relevant question IMO is what changes have occurred under Biden/Democrats and how will those changes affect people over time. If anyone took calculus, think of a plot of standard of living or a similar quantity for all Americans over time. The integral (area under the curve) can be thought of as total effect - really it would be the change in area over time. See the plot, and notionally think of a quantity we measure between times A & B and C & D.
and, importantly, this applies to other concepts such as Freedom. Are people getting more free or less free under Biden/Democrats and what is the trend? I'd say - see the plot and that is what is happening. Slowly over time the federal gov't grows more and more, takes more and more of our money/freedom/etc., screws up the free market more and more, and the Democrats are blind to it and blind to this notion of effect over time.

Give us the breakdown on what Biden did to cause the global inflation, and then tell us what DADDY would have done different that would have prevented. We expect you to fail here in spectacular fashion.
