I got an EXCITING email yesterday from Clemson Athletics telling me that Basketball season tickets will be available soon!!
Can't wait to purchase!
Looking forward to another winning season only to be bounced from the NIT first round!

Is that your official prediction? Recency bias anybody? We have made the ncaa tourney more than we have gotten knocked out of the first round of the nit. There's a much better chance of that FYI.

We’ve made the NCAA round of 64 exactly as many times as we’ve been booted in the first round of the NIT. Is that a “much better” chance. Or do you think making the “First Four” once in 13 seasons disproportionately skews the odds?

1. We have made the ncaa tournament 3 times under brownell. That fact that you are trying to erase his first appearance is hilarious. That was the time we actually won a game in the ncaa tourney, unlike the 3 tourneys before with better teams.
2. Somebody doesn't understand statistics. You are telling me that you don't clemson has a better probability of making the ncaa tourney next year than making the NIT, accepting the invite, AND losing in the first round to a team they are likely favored over? Wow. I hope you dont gamble.

My statement was....... there is a much better chance of us making the ncaa tournament than going to the NIT and getting knocked out in first round. I base this on what we are returning, history, and betting odds.
If you think there is a higher likelihood of going to the nit and getting bumped in the first round than making the NCAA, them that is your opinion. I just think that it is wrong. That is all. You can try to spin my argument all you want, it doesn't

I’m not changing the subject. I’m pointing out that, based on prior performance there is a 5% difference in the odds of those two different scenarios under Brad Brownell. Sorry - thought you could infer that from explicitly laying out 2/13 versus 3/13. Both of which are facts. You’re labeling that 5% difference “much better”. You are the one changing the subject. You only just now introduce “what we are returning, history, and betting odds.” The post I first responded to said “ We have made the ncaa tourney more than we have gotten knocked out of the first round of the nit.” This statement is entirely based on past performance and is what I directly responded to. PJ Hall in 2019 and PJ Hall again in 2023. I don't think he meant to point out how good of a recruiter he is, especially since recruiting is one of the biggest complaints fans have about him, when he said it, but CBB has told us this.
