could not justify having that expensive of a boat sitting for 4 to 5 months out of the year...Plus...NO WAY ANYBODY WITH A BRAIN is gonna put your boat in the WANDO river to go after spottails and trout...
I will tell you this though, after dragging a kayak up and down all those rocks on the Broad, taking it out of the truck, puttin the battery in, trolling motor on the back, pulling the rods out of the storage..and then loading it all back in the truck to come home......WELLLLLLL,it is a cake walk to run to Russell and slide a bass boat off the trailer..hop in it and just go run down the lake!!!!

to me....I have this RT 188 now, but I may trade up and get a new 188 or maybe the 198 that now run on a pad....the only thing I don't like about mine now is you just cannot trim it up and when the waves get high on the WANDO you cannot get the bow up enough to keep from dipping into them...

Im on my 3rd Triton 20x HP with a 250 Pro XS. This one new and empty would run 82. It still runs 76 with a full tournament load and 2 people. I used to love to run fast, but I hardly ever run over 50mph anymore.

with a 150....Before that..about 40 was tops....
I definitely want to get with you on Santee one day when I am headed to the beach...I fish it some, but I don't go far. That dadgum lake intimidates me...LIKE THEY ALL SAY DOWN THERE...."IF YOU DON'T KNOW...GO SLOWWWWW".

Definitely need to catch up one day. Fish on Santee are very grass related but finding grass is a crap shoot. There are so many grass carp, it might be there this month and gone the next from the carp.

I fish the Santee River quite a bit. You really want to go slow in early Spring. You don't know what has drifted into the river during Winter.
