Is BS. Of course he thinks they will destroy UNC. Obviously, it is SEC vs. ACC. How could there be any other outcome? I didn't have the heart to remind him that they have no offensive line, a 6th year player starting at running back (which is probably his 5th different position), and an offensive coordinator who coached tight ends last year and has never called a play in college before.

I just saw a tweet with a clip of their practice and the backup Sellers was in. It was two plays, 1st one Sellers ran the ball and 2nd one where he threw a quick pass to the sideline. It was up tempo. The poster bragged about how they were excited for an up tempo offense and the potential for Seller.
Two things.
1. When you see a QB running a lot and throwing short passes to the outside, that means they probably aren’t a great passer. At least not right now. Good defenses will key in on that and go all out to pressure him to make that throw.
2. The up tempo combined with the short pass also means your Oline probably can’t hold up long enough.
I look forward to seeing the coots disappointment this year when they go 6-6 or 7-5 agin. They truly believe they’re going 10-2 or 11-1.

Beamer isn’t the reason they won. DJ and our OC are the reasons we lost. I will not be surprised if we stomp them, yet again, this year. Then it’s back to seven or 8 in a row and the go through 2 new coaches.

I see a lot of posters saying this. I know DJ wasnt good. I know our OC play calling could have been better. But we let SC score over 30 points on us. That’s in acceptable. That’s my biggest problem. I want to see our defense get back to what it was.
We shut SC down like we should have then we win.

You are correct. Our defense was soft last year with DB's sometimes 20 yards deep, all kinds of crazy zones with DL's dropping into coverage, etc. Enough of that mess! Let's line up and dominate somebody!! Stop trying to trick them every down. Pressure, pressure, pressure. Didn't have it last year. 30 points to a sorry Coot team. Good grief. I have never seen anything like that at Clemson and that has never been what Clemson defense has always been known for, which is pin your ears back, attacking defense. Weslicheck better give us some pressure defense and get his little self in gear or he will be over at UGA helping Streeter.

Our defense was left out to save us game after game after our horrible offense failed time after time and the play was there but DJ would hesitate to long play after play.

After reading reports from practice this week, I have decided that the defense was soft last year because of the offense.
Iron sharpens iron and the offense did not challenge the defense in practice the past two seasons.

I do hope our wr play has improved since the Sping game. Those DB’s kept them covered up for the most part.

I hope you are right, but I fear you aren't. They have a really good recruiting class so far and if they can land another good QB after Rattler, they might be pretty good. Not Spurrior good, by any means, but good for that school.

From what I’ve seen, the Sellers kid is pretty darn good. He’s going to be a good QB for them. Question will be, if he is good, how long will they be able to keep him?

It must really suck to have a coot for a brother. My pain was an Aggie brother. Sadly, my brother passed away in 2007 and I never could convert him to the light.

I have been laughing at our fans that are like, "How could UNC fans possibly think they're a top 25 team" when we seem to think we are a top 25 team.
I honestly do not have a clue about either one of them. I do think UNC can put up points but if their defense is no better than last year’s they are going to give up a lot as well. Mack Brown should have stayed retired. His first go around at UNC was pretty good but now not so much.

Are they actually supposed to be bad this year? I know nothing about their roster besides the fact that a couple of their better players transferred.
