XT question

Oct 21, 2022, 10:18 AM

XT stated that he likes to line up on the left side, but lined up on right side against BC (so wouldn't need to use his left foot as his plant foot. He lined up against FSU on the left side.
With the success against BC (could be many variables including competition), it would seem logical to at least move he to left and right to attempt to fool defense and add that additional concern in the back of the QB's mind (where's XT). Thoughts?

Have you mentioned this to Coach Swinney. I doubt the coaching staff is aware.

Waiting for his call back. Dabo and Kathleen were out to dinner when I called.

I personally would always have XT coming in from the blind

side, potential for strip sack fumbles much greater when they don't see the missile coming in.

:)

I think he played from both ends against FSU. Moving him around seems like a good option and that way he can spell both KJ and MM. Would hate to see him used only on the left because that would limit KJs snaps.

That being said, we did some odd things on the line last week especially early in the game. Saw KJ lined up over the center more than once. One time when he was over center a tackle (don’t remember if it was BB or TD) lined up standing outside him and they ran a crossing stunt. That kind of stuff has to drive opponent’s O lines crazy. I like when we change it up. Never know who is coming from where.

Just Prognostication!

Obviously, this is all "fan talk"!

But, OP! I agree with you. XT could be huge for us in this game. Hopefully, we get them in obvious passing situations often enough to where he and Myles can go to work!

Which would mean we slowed down their awesome TB.

I get what you mean - and w/o the sarcasm! rncox
