Over the back half of the season Cade has averaged 6 yards per completion. If that was the number for the whole year it would be bottom 15 nationally.
We will have to pull the gloves off to have any chance of winning Another Clemson Championship.

I believe the intent of the original post is to exhibit a trend. Passing game has become significantly more conservative in the last part of the season. Most likely due to quality of the competition...

It’s good analysis. Looking at trends. What changed from first half to second half?
Competition harder? Change in play calling? An injury we don’t know about? Loss of confidence?
It’s a totally valid point of discussion.

It seems you are once again mistaken.
You are trying to determine what the data set is because you got caught in being flat-out wrong and this is an attempt to save face. That's a non-starter because the original post (and the source) already defined the data set, which is half the season.
Choosing a the back half of the season isn't incorrect, its the parameters defined. Just like choosing 1/4 of the season, or conference vs non-conference, home vs away, indoor vs outdoors, day vs night, etc
Because if what OP is doing is cherry picking then what do you call the attached pic? Talk about trotting out stats based on subjective data points aka cherry picking. YIKES!

You are ignoring basic fact. The OP and the radio host determined the dataset for the discussion. You may not like it, but facts don't care about your feeling. It makes it a different discussion than you would like to have, but that's not your choice as it was the OPs.
In fact if that's wrong than so is subjectively selecting 4 games in the season, using a undefined term such as having a "pulse" and posting a stat in order to draw conclusions such as you did in my post above

Which is better than 6, but still the bottom half of college football.
Either way, the point remains that we have to execute in the passing attack tomorrow. If I recall, SMU has good stats against the run but pretty weak against the pass. This seems like a “run occasionally to keep them honest but otherwise air it out” type of game, but I’m no coach.

I don't think it's a coincidence that as our running game has become less effective other teams are able to more easily take away our deeper passes. Poor gimpy Mafah isn't making them pay for having light boxes like he was the first half of the year.

Over the back half of the season Cade has averaged 6 yards per completion. If that was the number for the whole year it would be bottom 15 nationally.
We will have to pull the gloves off to have any chance of winning Another Clemson Championship.
It was actually yards per pass attempt not completion.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yards per completion wouldn't make sense based on the numbers by the poster above.

I just read that Cam Ward over the entire season is averaging Zero (0) yards per incomplete pass. That puts him tied for dead last with all of the other quarterback in the country.

It all depends how you measure.
Length x Width / Mass ^2 – Shaft Angle) + YAW
That's what Randy Marsh said.

Yards per completion, or Yards per attempt?

Starting with App State, and continuing through the Virginia game, our offense was very different than it was for the Georgia game or how it has been since.
Someone should go back to see which games Dabo had his laminated play sheet and which games he did not. I know starting with App State he didn't, and that continued for at least a few games.
So odd that we would change what seemed to be working really well. Did the Louisville cause Dabo or others on the staff to panic and change things?

She knows this is false as she already tried that earlier in the season

and was similarly corrected.
Her feigned ignorance when attacking Dabo is the equivalent of lying. Pretty sad for a so-called Clemson fan.

It's not confusing. If it's confusing to you then you should probably study more football. The problem is that these defenses in the latter half of the season are able to get more pressure on the quarterback. That means that a lot of routes have to be shorter and the ball has to be released quicker to avoid sacks. Also, a lot of injuries to the offensive line didn't help that situation either.

Bluffton hates any stats. Why, well rushing stats are cherry picking and leaving out the passing!
Whereas passing stats leave out the rushing!
Defensive stats are misleading as well. Why? They leave out the offensive stats.
LOL.

Wrong. I love states especially meaningful ones

that are collected accurately and that don't intentionally ignore 59% of the data set.
I'm talking about leaving out 1/2 the season of the posted metric, not the red herrings you threw in there.
There seems to be an epidemic of stupidity and illogic about this today. It's pathological.

You mean like subjectively selecting 33% of a data set to suit ones agenda?
