At Home with Hunter Renfrow: Clemson standout staying home, looking ahead to Vegas

Hunter Renfrow is doing the same things a lot of other people his age are doing these days. He’s staying home, spending time with his wife, cutting grass, and playing video games. He’s also getting ready for the second season in the NFL. Full Story »

In God we trust and are thankful Hunter landed in Clemson before he TOOK OFF again!

I wish he played for another team. I hate the city of Las Vegas with a passion and the Raiders are the worst franchise. However, I will say that Mark Davis' haircut is good for quite a few laughs. The fact that he has a hot wife is pretty telling that she's a gold digger. There's no way she could actually love that guy.
People make fun of the south and South Carolina for being hicks, but Mark Davis looks like he is from the movie Deliverance and he's a Californian.

That's a lot of hate in one posting.

Sounds like he & Carr are a great nucleus to change the culture.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Yep. Along with Ferrell and Mullin they have a great start on changing the culture. And I’ve always liked Gruden. I never liked the old (70’s) Raiders but I’m rapidly becoming a fan now.

Yikes!!! Maybe it was the money at the beginning, and she found that he was loveable later on. I say this bc my sister moved to a place that didn't allow dogs when she set out on her own. She had this huge ugggly dog that was about 4 0r 5 weird looking colors that she couldn't get no one to take. Her friends had about talked her into having the dog put down, and before I let my sister seriously consider that option, I took the dog and gave him a good home, and he turned out to be a great dog that I loved as much as any I had had at that time in my life. I took in what become a beautiful dog to me, until he died 10 years later, and I cried my heart out bc I really loved him, and he was a beautiful great dog to me. And there are times 30 years later that my sister will still give me a big hug and thank me for giving her dog a great home. The dog was a huge puppy, and he was actually a pretty puppy that grew to what most felt was the ugliest dog they ever seen, but he became beautiful to me!!!

So what I'm saying is that just maybe the wife of Mark Davis saw and found something in him that she loves, I hope so for them both anyway!!!

Hunter started his big time FB career as a walk on at Clemson, and he had to bust his butt putting in more work than the scholarship guys to prove that he deserved a scholarship like the other Receivers that came to Clemson on scholarship.

With Dabo being the type of hands on HC that he is, and observing everything going on with his players, and coaching staff. Dabo noticed how hard Hunter was working, and the improvements that he was making as a walkon Receiver, and Dabo awarded a deserving Hunter Renfrow a full college FB scholarship.

From that point, Hunter was allowed to practice daily with 1st and 2nd team receivers, and it wasn't long after, that Hunter Renfrow became a big threat receiver among his close friends, his team, the fans, and the teams that Clemson played against. Hunter Renfrow was one OF the best slot receivers in college FB bc of his route running with soft hands that could catch the ball in unfavorable position and hold onto the ball. He also score the winning TD for our 1st National Championship win since 1981 against the Nebraska corn eaters/huskers!!!

After an excellent college FB career at Clemson, Hunters nerdy look, and frail looking size was again frowned upon, and this time by NFL scouts, coaches, and the sports media. Nobody really gave Hunter much of a chance of being drafted by any of the NFL teams bc he really didn't fit the NFL prototype in any category, but he would succeed in life bc he had a great Clemson education with a degree. Hold up, not so fast!

BC of the great attitude and high character players that HC Dabo Swinney recruits and brings to Clemson, and Dabo pushes that his Clemson coaching staff to also teach their players how to become better young men as well as better FB players for his Clemson Tiger FB team.

NFL HC Jon Gruden of the LA Raiders, but now the Las Vegas Raiders was looking to change the bad behavior, and negative insight that the Raider teams was known for before he became the Raider HC. And bc coach Gruden is wanting to change the character of the team that he inherited when accepting the HC position of the Raiders, he looks for the players that he brings in to have come from a college team that was known for their players having a good attitude with great character as they are at Clemson. And bc of that, I believe that it helped Hunter with getting an in depth look from HC Gruden that allowed Hunter to prove himself again, but this time it was practicing and playing against the prototype NFL players!!!
