Max and Bobby were poor visionaries and could or would not compromise. This caused Clemson to "wander in the desert" from 1990 to 2008.
Major failure to see the "big picture." Cost Clemson potential millions over the time period.
Max stepped down to Mars Hill after a faculty vote of no confidence in him.
Worst Clemson President in the past 40 years.

While getting rid of football will cut cost it also will cut revenue and force us to end our entire athletic department.
