It's more about the skill set than size. He's 6'4" 235 lbs which is the perfect size for a linebacker.

He's a jack of all trades and a master of none. He's fast in a straight line but not quick enough or good enough in coverage to play DB. DBs also need good instincts and have to process things quickly. However, as a linebacker he doesn't hold up in the run well enough and he doesn't process what is happening infront of him fast enough which is crucial for a linebacker so they can read and react.

Being great at a bunch of positions in college is a lot easier than being good at a single position in the nfl

Yep classic tweener. A monster is college but will never thrive in today's NFL. Hoping our own Harold Perkins doesnt follow the same path.
