Wonder how Ryan Grubb would do with the offense?

Sep 20, 2021, 7:38 AM

Bet he would have put up 40+ on GT even with a suspect O-line and a shell shocked QB.

Some P5 team is going to end up with the next Superstar OC.

Tony Elliot is our guy. We have achieved great things with him leading the offense in the last several years. However, while his offenses deserve all the credit for 2 of the national championship trophies sitting in the case, he is now under the microscope for the struggles of this offense.

I believe that when you have guys like Deshaun and Trevor, their talent and abilities cover up some of the short comings we had in other areas of the offense. O-line has been a problem and continues to be a problem. O-line was serviceable for Deshaun but he made it work. Same with Trevor.

Biggest thing I see is receivers not blocking down field, turnovers, and inexperience in key places. Way past time for Galloway to step up and be a factor. A slot receiver needs is needed for 3rd downs today. Shipley will be great and his toughness shows. DJ started showing some emotion and heart.

Better believe that NC State is going to approach this game the exact same way Ga Tech did. They are going to load the box with more talent than Ga Tech and force us to be patient. State is going to shorten the game and limit our number of drives. We need points on every drive even if it field goals. Any less than 20 points and we may be in trouble Saturday. We cannot continue to rely on the defense because they are going to have an off day at some point.

When you get outgained by a putrid GT offense

That lost to Northern Illinois you deserve to be under the microscope. Tony has not proven he can get things done without the help from Jeff Scott and without the help of the one of the highest ranked HS QBs of all time.
