Do we go to the portal for help? Former 5 star CB Eli Ricks who missed playing time this year due to shoulder surgery at LSU has entered the portal.

I posted earlier he'd be a good one. We recruited him 2 years ago. I remember we really wanted the kid.

Dabo won’t go to the portal for a QB, why do you think he would go to the portal for a CB?

It seems much easier to go to the portal for a CB than a QB.

A CB can be put on an island and told to "go get em".

A QB must know the entire offense, have chemistry with WRs, TEs and RBs and must be able to communicate well with the OL on protections and audibles.

It's also more important for the coaches to know the QB well for playcalling and communication purposes.

CBs would be a much easier spot to plug and play from the portal.

We have 3 CB’s rated in the top 100 players coming in January.
We will likely be fine.

I don't think we do. Fred Davis, Wiggins, Sheridan Jones, is Malcome Greene still around? Then those other 3 studs coming in. We seem fine.

I’m just curious where anyone saw that Goodrich was for sure leaving??? Booth I have no doubt is gone, he’s a 1st rounder. But I haven’t seen Goodrich was for sure done at Clemson anywhere- TIA

If we want to compete at the highest level you absolutely go try and get Elias Ricks! He has 1 yr left then he can go pro. We need a lock down corner for next years team. I don’t see S Jones, Wiggins or Davis as a true lock down. Ricks is legit and would immediately be the best CB on the team.
