Or will he say to himself "enough of this" and jump in the portal?

He more than solidified himself as a starter next season with the game against Duke. He's going to be a large contributor the rest of the season. Randall has played above expectations which is the only reason he's not the starter now.

A couple weeks ago I'd have said no but he is getting utilized more and now seems to be the #2 back w Randall graduating so I think he will stay

Probably at this point but I do think it will depend, at least in some small measure, what some of the "changes" Dabo is going to make.

Yeah and I hope a couple of them are the ones who didn't move Randall to running back last season. It was clear after his freshman year and half of his sophomore year that he was a good g5 receiver. I love Randall but he wasn't a p4 receiver imo or maybe we couldn't figure it out, or he couldn't. That happens.
Either way, he should have been moved to RB start of his junior year. Same with stellato. That's what we pay coaches for. To eval and develop players. And most definitely by the 4th? game last year that we knew mafah shouldn't be playing. Think how much more developed Randall would be with 12-15 games at RB.

Randall was always a project. He had the size and speed to POTENTIALLY turn into a nightmare for people to defend. Just didn't work at receiver.

We should have used him at tight end. He would be a nightmare match up.

negative, all or some of these backs wont be here after this year. Davidson is more than likely gone. His family is less than happy with DABO and the lack of laying time up to this point. Development is also a big issue with them , they are waiting to see what changes DABO is willing to make.

I think if we keep playing him like last Saturday he stays IMHO. We need a second RB to share the load with AR so we don't wear AR out like Phil last year.

Based on the rotation and playing time last Saturday, I would say he is the future at running back. The one I think is likely to transfer is Eziomume.

I think it'll depend on the changes made specifically whether it includes the RB coach or not. Also the prospects for a better OL might be a factor in his decision.

After hearing his interview on WCCP with Qualk today, I think he’s still on board with the staff and his future at Clemson. However, now with agents involved, things may change once we reach December.

I kind of got a different read. I don't think some of the staff will be back. I took his comments to mean that we have all good people in every coaching position (in terms of their character and who they are). That is huge when Dabo hires, but that does not mean he will not let them go if he thinks they are not doing the job. I expect some pretty significant changes.

No question there will be staff changes, but Gideon seems like he’s on board with being part of whatever comes next.

Rather than being handed the #1 RB preseason, G.Davidson was given a snap or two in what was, in hindsight, our best performance if the season.
He whiffed on a block. I don’t recall if he got in in another snap, or what he did on that snap (if he had gotten one).
If his family is smart and involved in their son’s development and future, they would have either recognized for themself or would have readily understood that Gideon wan’t ready yet.
The cultural mantra is ‘best on plays.’ Gideon had to earn his reps.
After 7 games and two off-weeks to improve his skills and understand his responsibilities, he now appears to be ensconced as RB #2. Ahead of G.Davidson is an exemplary person and highly talented SR RB.
All the arrows are pointing up for G.Davidson. His family would have to be foolish to be unhappy with where, as of Nov.4th, their son’s FB career is headed.
(That said, the final four games will probably the most indicative of where G.D. and Clemson perceive each other’s futures together.)
