in favor of a lacrosse match?


In terms of national interest:

Clemson football > rest of ACC football > any other ACC sport.

Talk about a bad look. No programming manager who has real interest in optimizing viewership and ultimately $$$ would make that decision.

So I ask again, what is the network doing here?

The Spring Game last year was boring as hell. Both DJ and Cade would have been demolished on every play if not for their special colored jersey

I think you're dramatically overrating interest in Clemson's spring game.

The best product the ACC has to offer today is either #2 vs #3 in Lacrosse or #2 vs #10 in baseball. Spring games struggle to attract eyeballs for fans of the team involved. They have no national interest.

FSU spring game is also not available on linear TV, streaming only on ACCNX.

Conspiracy theory - the FSU AD and Neff have pi$$ed off Jim Phillips for agitating behind the scenes for unequal revenue sharing and/or breaking the GOR and bouncing out of the league. As a result, the ACC chose to relegate their two premier programs to streaming.

Counterpoint - the only spring game on linear ACCN is UVA, and perhaps they chose them since it is their first time back on the field since three players were murdered last year.
