Exactly. I just had a heated debate with my Ohio State friend in the wake of that loss after he told me that all they have to do is beat Michigan to get into the title game against Alabama. So many things would have to transpire for that to be a common sense statement. If penn state can beat them, Wisconsin in a rematch for the conference or Nebraska could next week. Sure, Michigan has put up a lot of points but so did Louisville before they came into Death Valley.
These next several weeks are going to get interesting...

It's not quality of wins necessarily with the AP. It's style points. We let Troy and NCST hang around and the AP voters take offense to that since we don't beat teams with winning records handidily. Write it down though, if Clemson keeps winning, we will be #2 in the first CFP poll of the season.

The playoff committee will have it set properly. F the coaches and AP poll. They are all about history and so full of bias.

But Michigan isn't ranked #3 right now because of who they have beaten. They are ranked 3rd because they've beaten the crap out of pretty much everyone they've played. Colorado is a good team that they beat by 17. Penn State is solid and they beat them by 39. Hawaii by 60, UCF by 37, Rutgers by 78, and Illinois by 33. Wisconsin has been their only competitive game.
They've played almost exclusively home games though, so we will see how they do playing 3 of their final 5 on the road, including the game at OSU.
