I don’t have to say much CV has played in mop up duty last 2 weeks. Many has said CV isn’t the answer or CV doesn’t have it. Unless CV takes an enormous leap forward in the off season. Also got to mention Clemson loses a lot on the offensive side next season. With all that said can CV walk into LSU likely a night game and not be shell shocked? Can CV look like the guy against LSU? Only time will tell but I hope Dabo plucks a QB out of the portal or maybe Denson or Renalds is the guy?

CV is absolutely NOT the heir apparent at QB, and unless Dabo brings in a really solid QB from the portal, look for guys like Wesco, Moore, Brown, and Bentancur among others to get poached or pursue other opportunities elsewhere.

Dabo's worst dilemma is staring him in the face:
Go to the portal and get a proven commodity at QB...or have a season that makes this one look like like a banner year.

Dabo is likely getting a lot of heat behind closed doors. Donors are not happy. There's no way he doesn't know that CV is not starter material. In January when the window opens I have to believe Dabo will do the right thing. A QB, 2 OL, a DE and likely a LB.

But when nobody leaves (highest retention in the country) then there’s no need for them.
We have had the highest level of retention in the country. This year will see more natural attrition than any other year since the portal opened. Expect some portal action.

Dabo will shop for one.
We have more holes than we’ve had since the portal began. We will be utilizing to some extent, and if we have no answers at QB then he will go shopping.
Dabo isn’t against the portal. We just haven’t needed it because of nobody transferring out.

If I was a betting man my money's on Denson. With basically a young inexperienced OL an athletic mobile QB is a must.

Dabo on Vizzina during his text-in show tonight:
- Just need to get more opportunity for him.
- They're getting a lot on tape so they can coach him.
- Just hasn't had a lot of live game experience.
I know he’s not going to outright say Vizzina is a bust and the portal is the fix, but that’s some over believing in someone who’s been under develop for three years. Sometimes when Dabo says something you have to believe him. He believes in Vizzina, so I doubt he goes big into the portal to find a different starter. Maybe sign a veteran to create some competition, but the idea of paying the market rate for a starting QB to replace CV seems very unlikely.

Dabo publicly praises Vizzina but privately has concerns.
However, Dabo does believe in Vizzina because he recruited him and thinks we are a “developmental program.”
Therefore, Dabo mostly believes that Vizzina can be a productive starter for us.
Dabo is told by his assistants that we really should get a QB in the portal. We try to use the portal, but only make a halfhearted effort as usual.
We fail to get a top portal QB. Dabo says “they have to like us too” and the Dabo cult says that we couldn’t possibly get one of the best portal QBs because that requires money we don’t have and cheating that we won’t do.
Next year is worse than this one, but that’s okay because Dabo does things the right way and is a victim of a corrupt college football landscape.

I don't see us pursuing a QB from the portal.
We are going to have 5 QBs next year: CV, Pearman, Denson, Reynolds, Bradley.
Dabo is going to give CV a legit shot at being the guy.
