Why does the ACC keep giving ND everything they want

including 20 more years of OOC games? They will never join. Quite frankly I couldn't care any less about these interrupted home and away matchups with them. Had much rather play OOC games with the SEC and Big 12 like Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, TCU etc.

How do you know Georgia will not play us?

ND was relevant how many decades ago. I know the media loves them but even that seems to have faded over the years and the SEC became their darling.

It is about money.
Ever irish and or catholic will turn on the tv to watch ND play wake forest. They won't turn on the tv to see wake forest play alabama.

Why is this a bad thing? They're always way overrated so we get a W and it's a quality win no matter how crappy they are.

Finally somebody gets in. It's a win-win situation really. ACC gets to soak up that classic ND rating.

Simple....having ND as a partial member makes the ACC gobs of money. Even more so once the tv network is launched so you just as well learn to like it

Clemson receives @$2m extra TV money per year because of ND. ND receives no money when they play in an ACC stadium and the ACC receives no money when playing in South Bend. The only ACC money ND receives is for basketball and the nonrevenue sports, @$4-5m per year. The other ACC schools receive @$22m per year. ND receives $15m per year from NBC. The revenue split for the new ACC Network starting in 2019 has not been announced. Playing ND in football is profitable for Clemson.

I disagree. I think they will join at some point. But also who cares? We get to play a game against a name brand school that will give Clemson a ton of exposure. Especially when we win in another classic.
Plus, over the other 16 years, we will have plenty of time to play UGA, TCU, etc

or 3 times a decade and not 5 out of 10 like we will do in the 2020's. How about some variety. That means ND and SCAR as our big OOC games for half the decade. Well SCAR every year of course.
I liked playing TCU and Texas A&M in the 00's.

enough to know what they're talking about. Several above do,having ND with the ACC only helps both schools, the ACC contract pays more than ND gets on their NBC contract, even with their split from the ACC.
This new contract doesn't exclude ND from becoming a full member of the ACC anytime they feel the need to. What this new contract does do,is lineup everything up for the launch of the ACC Network.

I'm not sure why anyone would be upset about playing ND more often. They're the biggest college football brand in the nation. Playing them is great for us...even better if they're a top-contender. It's massive national exposure. Even if we're a national power at the time, which I hope we are, we're still a small school relative to the majority of the national football powers and we can use all the exposure we can get.
