I’ll tell you why. OUR DEFENSE LOOKS SOFT AS ####. that’s why.
He committed to us over Texas thinking our defense was gonna be solid. WE LOOK LIKE #### ON THE FIELD.

Pretty simple. Our fall from grace
We are far from elite and no longer aspire to be.

In the defense’s defense, no pun intended, the offense puts the defense back out on the field in no time at all.

The defense never gets quick three-and-outs early in the game. Eventually, they (most of the time) get the stop of force the other team to settle for a FG attempt.
This long early (usually initial) drive matter causes our offense to lose some of their pre-game ‘warm up’ usefulness.
Then, our offense goes three and out or gets a 10 yard single play 1st down, followed by a three-and-out.
Thus, the He77 bound train goes in down the tracks.

I get money. But if you were a young man about to play college ball, and Texas is in your ear. Would you look at Clemson right now and be like “yeah this is it”
I guarantee Texas offered him money off the bat and he still chose Clemson. Now that we look like ####, that money and better quality program looks a bit better for his future.

We have had a great legacy of developing D Linemen and getting them to the next level. But now there is some concern around our development. Don’t doubt for a minute that when Texas was recruiting him that Makuba wasn’t all up in his ear about how things have changed.
And now it looks like Tennessee will be the benefactor of all that…

If we’re being honest, Dre Quinn never felt like he was ever going to play a single down at Clemson, even before the season started.
He was as about as loose a verbal commitment as you can get.

Not one player on this 2025 team would start on 2018 national champion team. That is a ###(n)ing statement, and it would be hard to disprove. Another Clemson stalwart Eric MacClain has expounded on this 2025 team being no good. Both these gentlemen are experts and Clemson fans. And they give Clemson an F for Coaching and F for Players. Now ask again "Why do you think he decommitted?"

$$$$$$$ Probably coupled with Tennessee convincing him that we do not develop players. We’re becoming the school where 4 & 5 star talent goes to die. That’s what they are being told.
