The same as any other player on the field. Jump on a loose ball.

He thought is arm went forward. He had a bad game. I've never seen such prejudice boarder line racism as I have on this board. I'm a huge tiger fan but all you self righteous middle aged white men need to just stop with the hate

How you know what color anyone is? I am Cherokee nation myself. Neither Manning nor Newton is the same color I am. (not that it matters)

I agree gvilletiger. He should get a free pass because he is a black QB..he should be held to minimal standards and no criticizing of him should be tolerated on this board..for those in this establishment who do you will be called the R word.. FEEL THE BURN !!!

If he thought his arm went forward then why did he act as though he was going for the ball. If he thought his arm was going forward he should have just stood there and plea his case.

let's not go there because that's just not fair. If you are contending anyone that dares to criticize Newton for not giving a complete effort (which he didn't) is a racist, you might need to check your own deep seeded race issues. That is just preposterous!

I'm an old white man and I expect the QB as well as any player to go after a fumble, white, black brown, red or yellow and I am not a racist

I do not care what color he is. I care that he runs his mouth too much and demonstrates poor sportsmanship. I have the utmost respect for Robert Griffin III.

Biggest difference between Vick and Newton was that Vick had more talent.
FWIW, Vick's brother Marcus was as poor of a loser as Cam.

It didn't have $200k taped to it.
God I'm still bitter that we lost to him that year. We got hosed like 9 times that game. UGH I hope we stomp Auburn next year!!!

All he had to do was fall down in front of the Dlineman and the ball would've squirted right to him.

Because he is a multi million dollar investment that is paying off. You don't enter your Rolls Royce in a demolition derby. Same reason there are so many rules in the NFL that protect the QB.

Really?

No one faults a "multi-million dollar investment" when he slides after a run as to not damage the "Rolls Royce" but it's wrong when said "Rolls Royce" isn't willing to even attempt to recover a ball HE fumbled and therefore hurting the team. Heck, that simply shows he is not a team player and it's all about him.

If he recovers the ball then they get to punt and make a defensive stop.

Two minute drill for the win. I can understand not wanting him to get hurt but when he didn't jump on the ball the game was over.

I never said that wasn't his personality. But the fact is most NFL coaches (and even some college) instruct their QB's to not jump on a fumble. You don't want your franchise guy on the bottom of the pile. That's common sense.
