Not enough evidence yet. Until he has Oklahoma moving through the playoff.

A big topic and great question. While the cases appear very different, I think searching "why Nebraska football declined" on YouTube is something of interest herein.

Because the coaches that got us there left. They left Dabo on an island and now we are finding out that he's not a football coach. A manager maybe but a bad one of those. And some fool decided it was a good idea to nail him down for 10 additional years and pay him 115 million. This has been going sideways for a long, long time.

The coaches that left have not done enough to support this, yet. BV might one day, but is not there yet.

Amazing talent and assistant coaches. Then, we lost talent to the portal and nil (because Dabo won't use it) and replaced our amazing coaches with bad hires.

Dabo lost his drive and ability to self diagnose issues after two titles. Instead of taking the Saban route and keying in on how to stay great, he retreated into “what I’ve done worked before, y’all don’t know nothin’”. He became fat and lazy, and it’s reflected in our program and the product on the field. Zero innovation, zero passion.

In no particular order:
1. Coaches moving on to other jobs 2. Refusal to utilize the transfer portal 3. Stuck in old ways / unwillingness to adapt 4. NIL 5. Nepotism

Venables left, terrible hires, refusing to believe you need the portal, NIL mismanagement. This year the QB has been 70-80% to blame. Cade has been a shock. Would anyone be shocked to see guys redshirt and leave after today? Cade will get one of those WRs hurt before long I fear.

Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot kicked serious butt and Brent Venables was in line of site of his players on the field not cowering upstairs.
