I pray they are both offensive players of the game for team orange and team white. No injuries to anyone.
In a perfect world, Cade never starts next year but plays in mop-up time every game starting the 4th quarter. DJU has a decision to make about forgoing his senior year to go pro b/c he is projected as a high draft pick after his season.
Cade is brought along slowly, learns the playbook and adds 30 pounds of solid mass after a year of Power Hour Fridays with Joey Batson and Larry Greenlee.

Unless one is forced to only handoff the ball on runs, easy button answer.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Cade. Although, you never know till it is played. DJ could all of a sudden get it together in 4 months but it seems doubtful in that small period of time. I just hope he goes to some personal trainers and camps to get himself in the right trajectory to become a good QB. I'd hate to see that arm talent wasted and have nothing become of it not just for Clemson but for DJ as well. The kid can throw a rocket and launch the thing 80 yards if he wanted.

If Cade is able to become a little stronger and bigger he will have a shot at being the starter. I don’t see DJ improving drastically. The running game needs to be the Tigers biggest concern this spring. With Shipley and the other young rbs available it could be a strength for the team.. I’m most anxious to see how the new OL coach gets his guys ready to win! IF Clemson is forced to put the ball in DJs hands to win our Tigers will not be back in the playoffs. Don’t kid yourself. You’ve seen him for a full season. He IS NOT going to be another TL. It just isn’t there
Let’s hope this year we have a dominating front line.

I don't understand the bigger and stronger argument against Cade. Trevor came in and was extremely thin and still ended up taking the starting spot. Same with Deshaun as well. And also with Kyle Parker in 2009. Cade will put on 5-10lbs this spring and summer. But I doubt there will be a size requirement to start at QB this year. I just don't see Dabo and co. going another year of lackluster or abysmal QB play when they have proven time and time again the better player eventually starts.
If Cade can just learn half the playbook and hit his receivers with nice touch on his passes, I don't care if he's 160 soaking wet. He will bring a speed and scrambling element we need on this offense immediately, especially with our continuous below average o-line play. Also on the run game, there's no doubt that will be the bread and butter this year, there's no secret there with that. But we can't expect to make that the only element on our offense, that's outdated and doesn't win championships these days. We have to have a passing attack too otherwise we will be looking at another year of less than stellar offense.
But I'm not holding my breath on DJ. I just hope he gets it together to at least be a good starter.

If the running game is good it makes the passing game so much better. You know this.
