So yesterday, the Giants and Padres are playing baseball. After the game, Antoan Richardson accused San Diego Padres coach Mike Shildt of yelling an expletive at him that "reeked undertones of racism."
During the game, Shildt, who is the Padres' third-base coach, approached San Francisco's dugout. After a brief exchange between the coaches, Shildt, who is white, apparently yelled, "You need to control that motherf---er" to the Giants' dugout, which prompted Richardson's reaction and ultimately his ejection by the umpires.
After the game, Richardson told reporters. "At that point in time, I went to the top step and said, 'Excuse me?' because I couldn't believe what I heard. I say this because his words were disproportionately unwarranted and reeked undertones of racism when he referred to me as 'that motherf---er,' as if I was to be controlled or a piece of property or enslaved.
Who knew !?!?!? All this time I thought it was just an unpleasant, contemptible, and offensive person.

McWhorter describes part of the black community’s problem with police and authority as the “bad mother effer” syndrome. Because black men runaround constantly finding the slightest little things offensive or disrespectful so they can try and prove that they are “bad mother effers”. Resisting the police being one of the negative consequences of that.

Thank you for the nice clear description of racism. People that resist racism are punished. Racism is about power and there may well be racist regimes in other countries. Africa etc. Why don't all you folks ask your football players if they agree with this description?

It is weird that when a white somebody calls someone of color something, the white somebody is racist. But a person of color can call any white somebody whatever they want to call them, and it has nothing to do with being a racist, go figure!!! In other words, people of color are not, and never have been racist toward white people!!!

I don’t understand such regressive thinking. America is a melting pot. I am not Irish American. I’m American. My friends aren’t Italian Americans they are Americans. When you start using hyphens you’re putting people into groups which is segregation and identity politics.
African-American simply doesn’t make sense. You can be from Africa and be an Arab. You can be from Africa and be white. If you were born and raised in Libya or Egypt odds are you are an Arab. If you are raised in South Africa odds are you are white like Charlize Theron. She left Africa and came to America. She is in fact a real African American. Black people born and raised in America are not African anything.

Thank you. I’ve never understood why someone would want there name hyphenated with there ancestral origins. My roots trace back to all over Europe. I’m not European-American. I’m either American or white and that’s it.

The term “bigot” is more accurate and doesn’t have a modern definition that includes some perceived power over another.
I don’t use the term “racist” at all. Bigots come in all different varieties.

that everyone you meet today hates you for something you don't control..however false and exaggerated that it is. Its parroted by every news outlet, every sports network, every sports figure tells you that you are hated for no reason at all. That everyone is out to get you. You also will develop a chip on your shoulder and you will start your day angry, defiant, and ready to look for it. That's why this guy thinks it was racist. Because this generation has been poisoned by all the talking heads around us who gain to profit from it.
Believe what you want but the father of lies is having a field day with this generation and the chaos that it will lead to will not be good. We need to teach our kids to shun this stuff and teach them how to properly treat others. And how to properly distance themselves from the negative talking heads, politicians, and hate pushers that keep it alive and thriving.

It was not simply calling someone a mofoer; it was a white person of authority (assistant coach) NOT speaking to the subject black (or perceived black) person (assistant coach) but instead speaking to the ultimate white person of authority (team manager Gable Kaplan) over that subject black person and directing the ultimate white person of authority to keep his mofoer in line (like a plantation foreman telling a plantation manager to keep his #### slave in line). If instead of saying mofoer, the yeller had said "assistant coach", then the subject person might not have felt like the yelling was racist. Then again, he might have, because the yeller was not deigning to speak to the subject person (possibly because of his color and inferiority) but instead going over his head to speak to an equal. I think that it is almost impossible to determine if the event was racist without being able to get into the head of the yeller. Might be, might not.
