Iowa State's back up QB is a freshman who has thrown 36 passes all year for 193 yards.
Alabama's back up is a sophomore who has thrown 16 passes for 150 yards all year.
Maybe this explains why aTm doesn't want to play in the Gator Bowl. Their starter is a freshman who has thrown 35 passes for 300 yards. Their back up in a true freshman who has thrown 7 passes for 30 yards all year.
Lack of depth at QB is not limited to one or two teams.
