When was the last commit we got

That was like a 50/50 down to the wire guy. We get some great recruits but seems they either all commit early or it is a foregone conclusion they will commit to us.

Seems every time we are in a down to the wire battle with another team we don’t get the recruit

Need more? Yes we have lost quite a few too but we get plenty of heavily recruited kids! Our coaches will close this class strong and probably finish in the Top 5-7 in the country.. BTW that is GREAT!!

Just in last years class alone there are a bunch of examples. Xavier Thomas, Jackson Carman, KJ Henry, Justyn Ross, Kyler McMichael, Jordan McFadden.. off the top of my head. We were in recruiting battles for all of these guys. Every name on that list could have very easily ended up at another school but Clemson won out when it came down to the wire

“Down the wire” implies up against a signing day, so logic dictates the answer to your question is likely the latest signing day, which was over 10 months ago.
